Organic Pizza Salzburg — Restaurant in Salzburg

We a couple went to this place on 15th Oct 2023 for early dinner after reading amazing reviews online and here's our experience.

Food -- We ordered two pizzas, a number 4 and a vegan V4 pizza. Both the pizzas were thin crust, very very delicious, 10/10.

Atmosphere -- It's a small restro, there was some outdoor seating as well but because it was cold and raining, everyone was sitting inside. The decor was nice and music was good for a rainy Sunday night.

Service -- The service was pretty quick, however, what turned us off is how we were treated by the server, we asked for a corner table which we were denied as it was a small space which we totally understand and didn't mind but he wasn't pleasant at all, it was like he didn't want us to be there in the first place, and for instance when he served the pizza, I told him that it's looking amazing and he didn't respond at all, not even a smile or an acknowledgement, usually people will say thank you or at least acknowledge the fact but he was very rude. I was even afraid of asking him for salt and pepper. So, we left as soon as we were done.

We're Indians, I don't know if that explains his behaviour towards us because he was friendly to everyone else around from where we could see or the fact that we didn't order any drinks or he wasn't just in a good mood that day (giving him benefit of doubt) but I wouldn't like to be treated this way for a service that we're paying for. It did leave a bitter taste to be honest. No offence to the cook because the pizza was amazing.

I wonder where all these 5 star reviews come from, especially after my experience at this place. I ordered a pizza and asked for olive oil to go with it . The waiter was quite rude and stated that it’s too expensive for them to offer lol. After which he continued to charge us for the tap water. He was very unfriendly and curt and not at all hospitable. When I expressed my concern to the one at the counter, I was told that as a customer who ordered just a single pizza, I cannot be asking for chili flakes or any condiments. I found this to be quite condescending especially when I think this is something I’d paid for and would have been alright with an additional charge but wasn’t even asked. The pizza was very below average as well and was highly overpriced. The crust was not at all fresh and neither was the customer experience! Definitely not going back. Better spots around that also provide better quality of food and...

Pizza was great, but the British waitress/owner was snobby and stuck up (I guess that's expected of vegan people). She disrespected my family and embarrassed us for something that could have been carried out in a much less snobby manner. Since they charged 50 cents per glass of tap water, we brought our own bottled water, which apparently is looked down upon in European restaurants. She interrupted us and proclaimed that "this isn't a fast food joint. You cannot just bring outside beverages into this place and drink them. It's just not customary to do so in Europe." Following this, she neglected us for the remainder of our time there, including when we tried to order more pizza. Lastly, she began openly breast feeding her infant next to me while we were eating.
