The most terrible restaurant we have ever been to in all our years! We should have walked away the moment the rude women came over to our table. We asked for a menu she said they do not offer only offer 3 pasta dishes and they will NOT adjust for anyone!! Me and my 2 daughters are vegetarian and also one is vegan and we asked if we could add veggies to a simple pasta dish taking off dairy and she rudely said no way! So we just accepted the mushroom pasta with cream sauce and she screamed at my daughter ' so you are a FAKE vegan!!'. There are no prices ,no memu and they took forever finally brought out 4 of 5 pastas for our family of 5 and forgot mine! After another 10 minutes nasty little angry man said they are out of the mushroom pasta ! He went back in and another 15 minutes later brought my dish long after every one else was finished! He was so rude and so was the nasty lady we all wished we had walked out before ordering from this hell hole of a place! The lady had told us before we ordered that there are plenty other places to eat when we first asked about vegan options ! We should have taken that as our opportunity to walk out! We hope they go out of business terrible food and horrific service!! A huge mistake that unfortunately we will. It forget! If you can avoid this nasty place we say go elsewhere! So many other great places to dine in Salzburg. We will not make this mistake again our next visit! By the way food was. NOT good , had way too much cream sauce and smothered in Parmesan which we requested no Parmesan but they still smothered with it!! Terrible place and never...

An Italian restaurant with no set menu, but with a few dishes that they will mention when they take your order. We were taken a little bit aback by this at first, also since the communication is not super smooth. In general, the service is a bit rough around the edges with waiters wearing AirPods and walking off mid-sentence when taking an order because something else caught their attention that they needed to act on. It was not necessarily rude, but definitely a bit jarring.

We ordered antipasti to share with the two of us and a main course each. The antipasti was very good, but initially only one of our mains arrived. We thought the other one would show up quickly after that, but the waiter didn't seem aware of the situation at all. After 5 minutes or so, we were done waiting and asked them where the other main course was. It followed very quickly after that, but I suspect they just took someone else's order. We also saw other tables waiting quite long, seemingly having been forgotten by the staff, until they had to speak up because of the long wait. It felt like the staff wasn't in full control throughout the evening.

On the positive side though, the food in general was very good and tasty. We both had a pasta with lemon butter cream sauce which was excellent.

So, in short, if you don't mind the service being a bit rough then check this one out because the food is...

We heard a lot about this restaurant. We decided to give it a go. After making a reservation which was confirmed via telephone, we arrived at the accorded time and had basically and unfriendly welcome from the waiter who didn’t even say hello and showed us the door and told me that the table was still occupied. Since he didn’t say much, we interpreted that we needed to wait outside until the previous people was finished. Lucky us, we got the table without so much talking from the waiter’s side.

In terms of food, high general disappointment. Both with the antipasti and the pasta itself. Not to talk about the bread, which was basically the cheapest that one can find in Billa and was probably heated up in the morning. It was uneatable, like a piece of wood. After reading many reviews, I realised that they always answer that they offer their ciabatta as well. However, if they want to stick to this style of no written menu, they should do it properly and also advise the guests while explaining the menu about the possibility to get their ciabatta for an extra amount of money. As for the pasta with “octopus”, I would basically recommend in general to stick to an offer with products that one knows how to cook. The octopus was basically a neutral chewing gum. No taste at all.

Definitely not going to...

Tourist Trap ripp off - wouldn't return, even if it was for free. - difficult to decide what was worse, the rude incompetent and unamitioned service or the terrrible quality of food - handing out a menue being refused (despite legal obligation for hand out) by waiters "we don't have a menue - I am the menue". Pricing therefore remains hidden until you will be handed over the surprise-check. - waiters completely unskilled (language, product knowledge, service skills) and only able to rudimentary recite 3 out of all the dishes on offer (quote: "today we have veal and tomatoe, sardines or ravioli" unquote) - crappy discount supermarket bread, only for the bin - disgusting vehetable ravioli, rocksolid pasta, dried out in microwave, filling bland in taste, drowning in fat. Truffle oil which wasn't even mentioned before by the "waiter". Small portion (pic) EUR 13.50 - lasagna also drowning in fat, soggy texture, lack of fragrance; EUR 15 Bottom line: food was bad but service was the real show stopper. We should have been warned by previous reviews and in particular by the owners rude replies to customer feedback which shows a complete inability to deal with customer comments on the disastrous performance at this "restaurant".

27.08.2022, Samstag, 17:30 Uhr. 08/27/2022, Saturday, 5:30 p.m. The tables on the sidewalk are partly occupied, but there was still room for around 20 people. Our first attempt to sit the three of us at two small quatran tables pushed together was interrupted harshly and rather unfriendly by the waiter. They asked for a reservation, but we spontaneously ended up at this place through Google Maps. The three of us were then seated at a small table, although the table right next to us was free and remained free until after the meal, but many other tables were also free. A pleasant meal was therefore not possible, seen from the space available. We ordered 3x lasagna. The portion was sufficient. When we asked if there was some Tabasco sauce, as we like to eat spicy, we were also told unfriendly that they weren't Mexicans here. The lasagne was very mildly seasoned and so it was spiced up with half a bottle of Tabasco (which we happened to have gotten in the supermarket beforehand) and then tasted reasonably good. Other guests were also accosted with the reservation question, despite many free tables, which is nothing more than a marketing gimmick, because there were enough free seats in the restaurant. If you like being mobbed and only tolerated, this restaurant is definitely the place for you. However, if you value ambience and good friendly fair, or really tasty LASAGNE, you should not come here, because such guests will be bitterly disappointed, like us, regardless of whether the staff here is original Italian or not. Absolutely not recommended if you want to be a welcome guest. There WILL certainly not be a second visit.

An easy-going kind of restaurant located near Linzergasse, the new part of the city center of Salzburg. Great and generous antipasti selection. However, the main course was quite oily and not as good as it’s used to be. Unfortunately the wine as well. They only have house wine(red or white) from the tap, not bottled, labeled ones so the wine selection is very limited and not so good. Edit: to answer the below response from the restaurant owner, I asked for the wine card when we arrived and the waiter said you didn’t have a card, which was fine for me. Therefore, I then asked which wine your restaurant offered that evening, respecting the fact that you’re “pasta e Vino”, so we were expecting you would have a good wine selection. However, we got only offered 2 kinds of red and 2 of white. I’ve also asked if they’re house wine or bottled and the staff said they’re all housewine and came out of a glass jar. This review is only personal opinion that genuinely hopes you could improve the performance. Regards.
