Food was ok, but service was slow and we were overcharged and were not shown our bill before they ran the credit card. The vital fruhstuck was supposed to come with a coffee, we ordered drinks first, but assumed either my orange juice or my husband’s coffee would be considered as part of this meal. Nope, they charged us €5 for an americano black coffee, which was expensive for Austria. Additionally, the vital fruhstuck says it comes with 2 baked goods, we thought we might get to pick a croissant, pastry, etc, but it came with 2 rolls. Should be more clear on menu. They had some issues with the espresso machine while we were here, but multiple other tables that came in well after us received their drinks and food...
Read moreI do not like this place, it doesn’t even deserve 1 star. It’s extremely understaffed and the only employee here is very rude. The first time I came, I waited 15 minutes just to buy a pretzel, I left empty handed. I’m pretty sure no one was even working in the establishment. I gave it another try and I regretted that time even more; I simply tried to get 1 scoop of gelato. The only person working came over and when I’d ask a question she’d say no and run away to help another customer and I’d have to wait another 5 minutes. When I didn’t give her exact change she got very upset with me. This is not a good representation of Salzburg’s hospitality, good food and nice atmosphere. Save your money for a more...

We confirmed this when another customer came in and also asked for a cappuccino. They served him a smaller one. Logically, the price of ours was more expensive. In short, they served us a larger size, without requesting it, to make us pay more. A swindle. On the other hand, we ordered two croissants. They were parched. The exorbitant price more than 14 euros for a chocolate, a cappuccino and two...
