A SUPER BARGAIN IN VIENNA - I MEAN IT !!!!
Ok Vienna is less expensive than Switzerland where a really sub par pizza, small beer and a small bottle of mineral water will be 30Euro. But in the central district a small veg sandwich is 8Euro and small beer 4.5Euro, glass of mediocre lemonade spritzer 4Euro.
This Chinese place has hot pot for 22Euro with lamb, napa cabbage, noodles and other vegetables. More than enough for my wife and I and we're major league hot pot eaters
It was such a good deal and good food as well as very friendly staff (my wife being Chinese may have been some of the factor) we went 2 nights in a row. That good and believe me, I am fussy
It's very clean, the toilets are fine.
We had more hot pot than we could almost eat, a large beer and hot water for 26.5 Euro, the half liter draft beer was 4.5Euro.
We simply could not face schnitzel or pizza or burgers. My body needs nutrients. Darned hard to find in Europe where salad constitutes vegetables.
You can't go wrong at this Chinese place. However I have to add on the main menu I didn't see anything too appealing or a bargain
Stick with the hot pot dinner for 22Euro
I will add if you desire more for hot pot you can order additional meat like a half pound for 9Euro and vegetables too but they seemed to be on skewers for some reason
I don't own the restaurant and I don't have family running it....
Read moreNothing fancy, but we liked it. Not sure whether the dishes are all authentic, some seem tailored to (supposedly) Austrian preferences, but still a good range of unusual options that you wouldn't find in your standard Euro-Chinese Restaurant. Don't expect Szechuan-style food though, even their hot sauce seemed rather mild.
Prices are low when compared to the fancier Chinese restaurants in town, so you can easily taste yourself through the various appetizer choices and some main courses.
Now I want to visit again and try their hotpot (would probably have to book that...
Read moreNice service, fast cooking. You need to book a table in advance for hotpot, but for normal a la carte you can just go and get a table on the spot. I highly recommend the black sticky rice, mapo tofu, hot friend chicken, tomato egg soup to down it all or mix with white rice, hot cauliflower. Everything was delicious and the staff is very friendly. Wish my stomach could...
