This place won't be winning Michelin stars, but it does what it's supposed to do. It's a fast food restaurant, guys and girls, don't expect much more than that.
I can't tell whether the "frozen veggies", "premade food just reheated" and other, similarly disappointed reviews are true or not, but let me say at least so much: the food is the perfect temperature, the place is clean and not overly loud, and the staff is helpful and competent. The cashier lady helped others choose before me, seemed like she knows their dishes (vegetarian/not) well enough too. When it was my turn she had zero problems switching to english and wasn't too pushy withextra sales either - but she did remind me i was parched 😅.
I ordered the Spicy Udon Noodles with duck. As kind of expected, the spicy ended up being "white woman" spicy (as much as you'd consider pepper and cinnamon spicy at home - I'm not saying this is all they did but this is what it reminded me of). Otherwise the noodles were flavourful, not too soft or too hard, the duck was crispy. Decent portion too.
All in all don't come here for a date night, however it's a great spot if you want a quick bite in a chill place and waiting for a train or otherwise passing by. I've been here before and will come again. Maybe next time I'll ask for...
Read moreI would give this place negative stars if I could. My partner has a life-threatening allergy to peanuts (they have an EpiPen), and we thought this place would be good to eat at because its dishes are all labelled with allergens (or so we thought). My partner decided to get the tofu veggie noodles since it didn’t have any allergen labels and neither did any of its sauces, so it seemed like a safe option. While ordering, just to make sure, my partner told the server about their allergy and asked if the sauces had peanuts, and the server said no. But minutes after taking a bite of the noodles, my partner started going into anaphylactic shock - the sauce they were given on the noodles had whole chunks of peanut in it. I had to administer their EpiPen and call an ambulance, and we spent the rest of the day in the hospital. While we were waiting for the ambulance, I went back to check that the sauce did in fact contain peanuts - the server said yes and insisted that we had not told her about the allergy. Instead of an apology or even a refund, she just offered to make the food again, but the damage had already been done. My partner is fine now but please do not eat here and give this establishment...
Read moreI recently dined at Asia Gouet Restaurant with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We ordered the noodles, which were made with fresh, crisp vegetables. The dish was perfectly seasoned, but if you prefer a spicier kick, they offer extra spicy sauce and soy sauce on the side to customize the heat to your liking.
As a vegetarian, I was pleased to find a variety of vegetarian options available. The dishes were not only delicious but thoughtfully prepared to suit a vegetarian diet. I also tried the spring rolls, which were crispy and filled with a tasty vegetable mix. They were a delightful appetizer that paired well with the main dishes.
Overall, the food quality and flavor were excellent, making it a great dining experience. The location is also quite convenient, situated in the basement level of Vienna Central Station. It’s a perfect spot for a quick, satisfying meal while traveling or shopping in the area. I highly recommend giving it a try if...
