One of the lovliest places in Vienna, whether for breakfast, lunch or quick coffee/matcha. It's so well designed with a lot of passion for the details (especially the interior), the owners are super nice and welcoming. It reminded me of Kopenhagen cafés in the best way
We had the Panzanella with tomatoes, toasted sourdough and mango for starters and it was such an amazing combination. As main we tried the veggie version of the vietnamese dish 'Bò Kho' and it was divine, very well balanced and filling with the rice noodles.
The desserts (lime leaf loaf cake, black sesame Canéle) were also such a delight. They also have good specialty coffee, ceremonial grade matcha, homemade lemonades (we loved the pear-camomile one) and vietnamese coffee (iconic vietnamese filter coffee with sweet condensed milk). You can also top your food with their homemade spice mix (with 🔥and szechuan peppercorns) and chili oil or buy bottles for at home (12€).
The opening times are not ideal if you work 9-5 or don't live nearby to grab lunch but since it's just a team of 2 and they just opened, it's understandable!
We had 2 lemonades/drinks, 1 starter, 2 lunch mains, 2 canéles, 1 cake, 2 vietnamese coffees and bought one of the spice mixes for ~70€ total which is absolutely...
Read moreA coffee shop with Vietnamese characteristics of coffee. There are not many seats in the very small store and not many choices on the menu. But if you want to try specialty coffee, you can have a try. I ordered a cup of coconut water matcha, Vietnamese coffee, lemon mochi and pandan Canelé.The taste is okay. Because there are not many tables in the store, I recommend taking them out or avoiding the rush hour at noon.
A small accident. I'm waiting for my friend at the rush hour at noon. Because there are no empty seats.so a male employee in the store came to me and only asked me if I could give up my seat, even though I hadn't finished my food. He only asked me, but he didn't ask the two costumes sitting next to me who had finished their meal already. So I chose to order something again. I can understand the mood of the staff in the store, but I think even if I give up the small table where I was sitting on at that time, it can't accommodate the other five customers and drive people away before they finished the meal. This is a...
Read moreI came to this café because it looked promising and had a nice buzz. Unfortunately, the experience quickly turned sour. Since there were no available tables, we were seated at the bar. Not ideal but fine, until a customer came over to pay and had to reach over my head to use the payment terminal, which is oddly placed right behind the bar seating. I had to literally duck to avoid being hit.
Instead of acknowledging how awkward and uncomfortable the situation was, the staff made it worse. The waitress handling the payment didn’t apologize or try to find a solution, she simply looked at me and said, “Could you move?” in a condescending tone, as if I was the one intruding.
There were many ways this could have been handled with basic courtesy: a quick apology, a polite request, or even better, relocating the mobile payment terminal to a more suitable spot. But none of that happened. Instead, I was made to feel like I was the inconvenience.
Disappointed in the customer service and won’t...
