The coffee and sacher cake was fine, but we had unpleasant experience with the service. We waited for our cakes for quite a long time, so I politely asked the waitress if they remember about our order. The waitress seemed frustrated that we even asked. When he got to our table with cakes, he throwed tha plates. We said "thank you" and he ignored us. After eating I wanted to pay by card. The waitress asked if we can pay by cash. We said we want to pay by card again and he asked "you don't have cash at all?" With very bad tone. I think was very inappropriate. I think he was angry because we asked if he remembered our order. I worked in clients service as well. I understand that sometimes it's a bad day or you feel being rushed, but I was nice, polite and smiling. I don't feel like it was fair.

I came here most mornings for a coffee before heading out to explore Vienna. Really nice staff, prices were reasonable, I didn't try any food here though. The cafe is quite quirky and old fashioned and there is an outdoor terrace which is really nice. They serve you coffee and a glass of water, which I think is normal for Vienna. I didnt take enough photos of this place as it was always early and I was still half asleep lol It reminded me of a coffee shop in Paris or Soho for its atmosphere :) I would definitely recommend this place over a Starbucks or chain coffee shop anyday!

The staff was really gentle and friendly. I went there to try the “sachertorte”, it was really good! We were 6, and we fitted perfectly even though there were already many people. I had a great time also thanks to the atmosphere, it kinda reminded me the German vibe of Berlin. the place is located near many shops, and is easily connected to the Centre with transportation; it takes about 10 mins.

I really didn't want to write a negative review but to anyone who is thinking of visiting, especially as a foreigner, be prepared for rude service. I went with a friend and waited for 30 minutes for the waiter to aproach us. After passing us multiple times with his back turned... trying to signal by waving or calling then and failing, my friend tried getting his attention by tapping his shoulder with her finger. He cut the woman off by loudly telling her not to touch him. He said it multiple times in front of the others customers making everyone feel uncomfortable, not letting her apologise or say anything. He cut her off and all we wanted to is to ask if he takes orders or we order at the bar. He proceeded to serve other customers and ignore us completely chatting with the other workers behind the counter. It is a shame for a café with such an interesting interior to have such rude staff, not even letting us apologise or make sense of the scene that he had caused and the possibible wrongs we may have done...

recommend the food there but they have an awful racist waitress who was so rude with me. he said hello and welcome to the two tables next to me but when he came to me he said u know what are u ordering, i said yes then he said go on! like just finish already, of course with a serious upset face i really didn't understand why!!.

„Ein wirklich gutes Café, wenn du kein Araber oder Muslim bist – ansonsten wirst du deinen Besuch hier wegen der Unhöflichkeit des männlichen Kellners wirklich bereuen.“ 👎🏼👎🏼

then i asked him about it and he said you are bothering me now with your question!!!

then i asked for an apology he said i am the manager . just pay and leave and don't come here again??

this person should not work with people only behind a desk or something, i really regret coming to this cafe bei really think that he is racist or something wrong with his head! never the less the other girl waitress was extremely polite...

-waiter asked "what do you want" when we sat down, no menu -when we asked to see the menu he gave us one single card which he dropped on the table -barely opened his mouth to speak, bent down way too closely to our faces, leaned on our chairs to talk to other people, held uncomfortable eye contact filled with silence -ordered coffee and a hummus plate, took extremely long to come -waiter smoked & drank with his friends, waitress was busy kissing her boyfriend -hummus plate was okay, coffee was bland -staff don't communicate with each other: we ordered two glasses of water, two workers brought four glasses -waitress yelled at us: "if you order twice you'll get it twice" (we did not ask two waiters for four glasses of water) -waited 20 minutes to pay, just for them to tell us to pay at the counter -can't do simple maths: overcharged us, we realised way too late All in all: tourist trap, definitely do not...
