You can tell that the gelato at Eiss Greissler is made with so much love and care, it's absolutely magical! A friend recommended it to me years ago, and it's been my favourite sweet spot ever since. The gelato is incredibly fresh and refreshing—it's so good, in fact, that I just had to come back for more this year. This place has earned a permanent spot in my "must-visit" book whenever I'm in Vienna. The fact that they use local ingredients and have fantastic vegan options means everyone gets to enjoy a scoop of happiness. Eiss Greissler truly never disappoints, and I hope they stick around for generations to come!!!

The place is neat and clean and it does not have dine-in option. The ice cream was not as great as we were expecting but, nevertheless, we enjoyed it very much as we see nice folks around. We were trying to use Google Translator to translate the choices (which were not in English) when a young boy (a customer) saw us and asked us if we need any help in translation to English. He really brightens up our day after we had a disappointing stay at The Ritz Carlton. The lady serving at the counter also pointed to us the menu in English on the wall. These are are folks and service that can easily make our day.

This is a mistake that not even in the würstelstand the workers do. So unhygenic and in this pandemia times is even worse.

Freche Verkäuferin ist mit ihrem Gehalt unzufrieden.

Gestern waren wir wieder mal beim Eis Greissler auf der Mariahilferstraße. Zugegeben, das Eis ist meiner Meinung nach qualitativ ganz oben angesiedelt. Bisher war ich auch immer zufrieden und wurde freundlich bedient. Blöd kommen brauchen mir/uns die dort sehr jungen Mitarbeiterinnen jedoch nicht.

Beim Bezahlen dachte sie wohl, es sei besonders eloquent und witzig zu sagen: "Du hast eh gesagt das passt so oder?" Ich verneinte. Darauf meinte sie weiters schnippisch "Naja, das ist hier schon durchaus üblich Trinkgeld zu geben, bei dem Verdienst, den wir hier haben!".

Auch wenn ich inhaltlich damit grundsätzlich kein Problem habe, denn gut bezahlt wird so eine Teilzeit-Studenten-Stelle im Eisladen nicht sein, ist es nicht in Ordnung einem zahlenden Kunden derart blöd zu kommen. Liest man die andere Rezension von gestern, wo es auch um das Zählen von Trinkgeld vor und nicht korrektes behandeln von Kunden geht, wird die Sache noch deutlicher, dass es hier an einer entsprechenden Einschulung zwecks richtigem Benehmen gegenüber Kunden mangelt.

Aufgrund dieser negativen/unnötigen Erfahrung werden wir den Eis Greissler künftig meiden, zumal es ja in der Umgebung massenhaft...
