The bubble tea is very good and the establishment is very cute with a lot of Japanese food/condiment offers on top of the tea. To be fair and transparent - I arrived about 15 min before closing, so I understand if the employees were probably not in the best mood to be serving customers and just wanted to go home. But I was not the only customer before or after me, and I did try to be as fast as possible in choosing my order and paying.
Whenever I come here (differing times and weekdays) I find the staff to not only be quite unfriendly but also not interacting with the customer at all, except for the ordering process.
I understand that it's supposed to be efficient or that the service/staff friendliness is not really the focus here. But when the staff mixed up my order and I wanted to make them aware of it, they didn't even speak to me (even though they can speak German fluently, so there was no language barrier).
I also had a question about an item and I had to ask more than twice to even get someone to talk to me. The employee only pointed to a printed out menu with the ingredients on the counter that I would have not seen by myself just by looking around at first glance. I found it a little weird, since I wanted to be fast in choosing my items since it was just about to close but it didn't seem like it since they still let customers come in and also didn't tell anyone that they were supposed to close (at 19:55). Without their help i would obviously take longer to choose and also elongate my service unnecessarily.
Anyway, if you don't care about the customer service aspect and are not in a a rush, the bubble tea here is one of the best in Vienna. The ambience is very cute and you get a coin per order to try the claw machine in the back for free. It's definitely worth a visit for the bubble...
Read moreIt's a cute place but a bit of a coin toss when it comes to bubble tea; depending on the bubble tea you're choosing, it could be good or bad. The black tapioca pearls're a little on the soft side but not overcooked. I've tried their brown sugar milk tea as a benchmark, which is all right. Today I got the matcha, which is the worst matcha (latte) I've ever had. A lot of matcha lattes overdo the milk in my opinion, but the matcha (latte) I got was, for some reason, cakey. It felt like I was drinking powder without much matcha flavour. Perhaps, it's just a one-off occurrence, but it's enough to steer me away from getting a matcha (latte) from...
