Cafe Do-An — Restaurant in Vienna

I guess they have new owners? Cant relate to any of the previous reviews. The whole staff appeared to have no service experience whatsoever. They did try hard, but ultimately: We were asked by 4(!) waiters for our order successively. After a good 15-20 minutes we reminded them of our order which was met with: yeah we don't have oat milk. Fine, no big deal. But why don't tell us immediately, and simply forgetting about our whole order (not just the coffee). So wehen we finally got our drinks, a woman with very greasy fingers, carried them at the rim. Big No-no in the service industry as a whole. Especially when leaving very visible greasy fingerprints at the rim. Plus a hair on top of the drink. Im not typically stingy in that regard, but not enjoyable to have someones finger grease at you lips. Did not...

Extremely rude and unprofessional waiters. They asked me to leave where i was sitting because it was for four people. Table i sat was occupied by two people. Right after they left i took it. In 5 minutes utterly rude waitress comes and ask me to leave as this is for four people. When i stood up i saw table next to me occupied by two people. When i asked her to apologize and questioned why i was picked when there are exact tables occupied by two people no remorse just more ignorance and rudeness. It was disgusting and utterly...

Wir waren schon öfters hier, auch während den Stoßzeiten zu Samstagmittag, wenn der Flohmarkt geöffnet hat. Reserviert hatten wir bisher nie, manchmal sind sie aber auch voll.

Im Großen und Ganzen geschmacklich wirklich gut, dabei wurden verschiedene Speisen probiert: Sandwiches (Club), Omelette (Bauern&Mediterran), Zucchinilaibchen & Wok Gemüse;…

Service ist bemüht und manchmal haben sie scheinbar neue Mitarbeiter*innen oder Aushilfe - zumindest ist der Service nicht immer gleich erfahren und schnell. Finde ich aber allgemein nicht tragisch.

Atmosphäre ist vor allem in den wärmeren Monaten wo man auch draußen sitzen kann wirklich nett. Ansonsten kann’s natürlich viel lauter sein wenn das Café voll ist!

Wir waren hier mehrmals und werden sicher auch wieder kommen.

We've been here several times, even during the busy Saturday lunchtimes when the flea market is open. We've never had a reservation before, so sometimes they are full and you won’t get a table.

In general, the food tastes really good, and we've tried various dishes: sandwiches (club), omelettes (farmer & Mediterranean), zucchini patties & wok vegetables...

Service is good and sometimes they seem to have new staff or temporary help - at least the service is not always equally experienced and fast. But I generally don't mind that.

The atmosphere is really nice, especially in the warmer months where you can sit outdoors. Otherwise, of course, it can be much louder when the café is full!
