We were misled to go there by the good reviews and the vegan options, but ended up leaving really disappointed.

Service: First we waited 10 min for anyone to come out to greet us, but ultimately went in to find the single waitress that day. She was unfriendly and unable to cope with the other 2-3 occupied tables. After receiving a crisp “yes you can sit down”, we had to take ourselves a second chair from inside. Then we waited for another 15 min to order… And then the real waiting began - over 25 min for the drinks ( 1 “espresso”, 1 “Americano”) and over 70 min for 2 porridges, however the latter we got only after going in to ask what the hell is going on with our food. I had actually ordered a lemonade as well, however decided to cancel it after 1 hour of waiting. As we knew we will have to wait ages to get the bill, we just went inside to pay.

Food: The quality of food and drinks matched the rest of the experience. The coffee we got was not espresso or americano. It was luke warm filter coffee. The “espresso” was served in a cup with suspicious spots/splashes on the outside which meant it was either not washed or the waitress spilled some coffee. I decided not risking it and didn’t drink it. The porridges tasted fine, however they switched the ingredients (vanilla sauce instead of peanut butter). By that point we were so hungry, that we simply ate what we got.

Overall, this was a horrible experience and by all means it looked the other patrons were sharing it as well. I feel ripped off paying 33€ in this establishment and won’t visit again. Too bad for the cute...

I was very curious about this place, mainly because of the gluten-free menu, but in the end I left with a very bad taste in my mouth, as the service was not good, the pancakes I ordered were not tasty, and the strawberry latte was not delicious either. First of all when I entered the place no one greeted me or greeted me back the second negative is that when I sat down after about 15 minutes I looked at the serving lady who was watching videos and laughing behind the counter and it still didn't occur to her that she didn't take my order when I pointed this out to her, and I didn't even get an apology, but she just took my order, after which I waited a very long time to receive it..I also didn't receive my non-carbonated mineral water. The second negative is that the pancake I received was like a large egg white foam that was baked, the strawberry latte was not delicious and enjoyable at all, and in the end when I wanted to pay, the bank card payment was not available, for which I did not receive an apology once again, but to me I had to offer money transfers because otherwise I would have had to walk to the nearest bank to withdraw money. The workers there could learn a little humility and kindness and hospitality, because for me this place is very beautiful and looks good, it is suitable for taking fancy pictures, the food is showy, the drinks are showy, but looks are not everything, and if the content is missing, then the whole the place...

I'm usually not one to give really bad reviews but my experience yesterday just really took the cake and needed to be shared.

We have heard of this new place and wanted to visit for about a week. The place was about half full, so we took a seat near the counter and started looking at the menu. At NO point, the staff spoke to us or even looked at us. We had been sitting right there between staff area/counter and the rest of the tables and the wait staff walked past 6-7 times without ever glancing at us, even when we looked right at them, trying to establish eye contact. I've been to several places all over the world that were one-man-shows and where waiting times were to be expected. However, not a single café/eatery anywhere has ever given me the feeling that I was invisible. There is no way that the staff didn't see us, I can assure you that. So after being completely ignored for almost 10 minutes, we got up and left.

So, while I was curious to try these "Japanese" pancakes here after just returning from Japan myself, I have found this to be the rudest café in Vienna. Don't be dazzled by their slogan or the pretty interior! We will NOT be returning for another attempt to be served or ignored for vastly overpriced, not even original "Japanese" (like a previous poster and my chef-friend pointed out) pancakes. Ever. 1 star - because I had...

The shop is very small and you have to wait in line to be seated. Especially if there is 4 people. The pancakes are pretty. BUT... We waited 30 min to be seated (which is okay if the place is small and in prime location) and waited 30' more for the food to come. Our waiter was grumpy (a lot more than the usual ). Another couple was seated before us (kind of understandable since there was only 2 of them and a table for 2 available). After we were seated and ordered another table got their food before us. When they finally came, the pancakes looked pretty and appetizing. I had the creme brulee one and it was disgusting. The pancakes were bland and the creme brulee tasted like runny uncooked scrambled eggs. The smell of egg was overpowering. My daughter got the marshmallow heaven. The whipped cream was old, tasted funny and left a very bad aftertaste. We both couldn't finish them. My poor child barely touched it. The other 2 people with us had the Nutella banana pancakes and they were edible but nothing special. Not enough fruit and Nutella though. I informed the waiter the food was not good at all and she apologized with a knowing smile. I commented about her not being surprised at all but always we got was a fake "I'm sorry". NEVER GOING BACK THERE. NOT WORTH IT.
