Server friendly but there was only one during my visit and he would vanish for awhile - probably over stretched.
Ambiance was okay, though it's basically one open room with a low ceiling. It was only 50% full on a Saturday night at 7 pm. If it ever hits 75% or more, it would likely get quite loud, given the layout. But it was pleasant this evening.
Mainly I was looking for food not mood, but sadly the food was bland and forgettable. Nothing bad per se, simply very simplistic. Additionally a little overpriced average quality (and not particularly generous portions, either) .
Ordered: Lamb with Thyme, Cretan Lentil Soup, Cucumber Salad, still water to drink. Total bill = 42 EU
Also, strange for a traditional Greek restaurant to provide no bread, even with main entrees. You have to purchase bread as an add on for additional charge.
It has a slight "tourist trap" vibe... Very surprised if lots of locals are hanging here.
When I was ready to get going, the one server was unfortunately tending to matters in the back. Consequently I sat waiting awhile for his reappearance.
It was not a terrible experience but I would not return for the reasons mentioned. Recommend checking around - there are numerous Greek places in Vienna, including several...
Read moreOk, ordered the most expensive item on the menu - fish set and a bottle of wine. After like 20 minutes guy informs us there's no no sea beam, and he'll replace it it with salmon (salmon fish set 30 euros cheaper) and add more salmon, octopus or squid. I tell him I can eat salmon anywhere, bring more octopus. Ok. They bring the food - to be fair octopus was delicious. Otherwise it's so so. I understand it's difficult to have fresh fish in Austria, but shrimp was chewy and didn't seem very fresh. Whatever. We finish the food, sort of waiting for the fish - never came. Guy explains that instead of fish he put more octopus instead of the fish. Not that there was an abundance of octopus. So sort of disappointing. No fish in the fish set. So i would recommend getting the fish set, not the more expensive one at least. And if they offer to replace something, just get something else from the menu. I don't feel the portion or the quality was sufficient...
Read moreThis was my worst restaurant experience in Vienna. The food was the worst greek food I have ever had. I tried many greek restaurant in Greece or elsewhere. The staff seemed very nice but in fact a con artist. He said that they buy the best lamb in Vienna. If just telling you this, makes that you are having a great meal, then go there because the guy doesn't stop blablaing about their food, but if you have a keen taste, don't go. Their Musaka tasted liked what you can get in a cheap cantin and smelled like an un clean kitchen after cooking lots of meal without cleaning. In addition, it was very expensive. They charged us for flatbread that wedidn't ask and came with other food. I am sure that there was no campari in my campari. Alcohol affects me very fast, specially when I am hungry. I didn't feel even a tiny bit of alcohol in my drink. There are so many other restaurants in Vienna. Choose something randomly, it would be...
