The food here was great and yummy, but with an issue on 1 out of the 3 dishes that leads me to give a 4 star rating. The price is expensive but the servings for us were much bigger than we expected. So it was pricey but bigger than the usual for us.
*One thing to note is that they do charge for the bread they give at the start for around 4 euros. And then there is a seating charge of 1.5 euros per person. So take note of that when you decide to eat here so you are not surprised.
We ordered the Nautilus set, Spaghetti Vongole and Shrimp Risotto.
The Nautilus set was good with 3-4 different kinds of fish, 2 scallops, some squid, 2 octopus tentacles, potatoes and bell peppers. It says it is for 2 persons, but for us it would have been plenty for 3-4, which just shows it is a good size for around 88 euros.
The Spaghetti Vongole was good as well with lots of clams, more than what we are used to in other restaurants. It was also a big serving for one person and it tasted great! For around 22 euros, this was a great meal!
The Shrimp Risotto was also a big serving with lots of Shrimp that was yummy. The only issue we had was that the sauce was very salty and it was hard to eat even when it tasted good. We couldn't finish it and just ate a majority of it because we felt it was a waste to leave a lot as it cost around 28 euros. So this led me to deduct 1 star from the rating.
So with all the above I would recommend this restaurant. And I would come back again to eat lots of good seafood. I just wouldn't order the shrimp risotto because it was...
Read moreI believe this was my 2nd or 3rd time at this restaurant. I know it is well known for offering good seafood. I am a person who strongly believes that I should not eat seafood in a country with no ocean and after leaving in Austria for more than 10 years, I know it is the right decision. I don't used to writre many comments here but my experience yesterday was incredible.
I ordered an octopus salad, apart from being terribly small, it has a price of almost 18 EUR. The octopus was far from fresh and overall very depressing to see it.
Fine! Afterwards I ordered a pasta Frutti di Mare. If you have never try a pasta like that you may find it ok, but if you use this dish as reference to measure the level of the kitchen, you will be surprised how baddddd the food is and expensive for what you get.
The place was full and I couldn't be more amazed for the fact that the restaurant has very good reviews, online, the price relationship is not worth it, and people continue eating there. I'm sorry to write that but I can't believe things like this can happen.
I come from a country with two oceans so I know what is top and bad seafood and I have to say, if you are in Austria and want seafood, go and buy it at the supermarket and cook it yourself (it is also horrible fish) but even better than going to this place.
I'm sorry again for the bad reviews but I feel betrayed after I ate there. I hope my review helps and if you want to go yourself and do your own experience...go ahead. This is just my...

My recent experience, indulging in mashed potatoes with octopus, was nothing short of exquisite. The delicate blend of flavors showcased the restaurant’s commitment to quality seafood.
The exceptional taste is complemented by the warmth of the staff, who went above and beyond to make the dining experience enjoyable. Their attentiveness added a personal touch, enhancing the overall impression of Nautilus Fischrestaurant.
However, the gastronomic delight comes at a price, as Nautilus leans towards the expensive side. While the cost might give pause, the exceptional taste and the friendly staff justify the expense for those seeking a premium seafood experience.
The interior, though slightly cramped, exudes a cozy charm that adds to the overall ambiance. The intimate setting fosters a sense of connection with the culinary artistry happening in the kitchen.
Nautilus Fischrestaurant stands as a testament to Vienna’s seafood scene, offering a memorable dining experience for those willing to indulge.
