Phở Bến Thành — Restaurant in Vienna

We went there with my wife and a toddler. Relized cash only, got some money from atm next to restaurant with a ridicilous amount of fee. Unfortunately, waiter told me they dont have a table for us after he realized our kid was about to cry because he didn't want to come in at first, but he would be calm after we sit. But it felt like a discrimanation. Anyway, I was able to book a table online, which was confirmed and obviously i did not go back there.. even i got an email that i did not show up to my reservation, which means they had a table, obviously... I had been to vietnam so many times and wished to have great food once again in the middle of europe. Since our holiday in Vietnam I have been craving Phở and never found a place back home that quite hit the spot. Until now- the food at Phở Bến Thành is amazingly authentic and the kind owners serve the most delicious Phở I have had in Vienna so far. The price is approximately 20€ per person- as you would expect it to be in the inner district of Vienna. Both the quality and quantity of the meat, the location right next to city hall and the nice evening stroll trough the old quarter you can take after dinner makes it worth the price in my opinion. This Vietnamese restaurant, reputed to be among the top eight in Vienna, has a lot of potential, but it falls a bit short of expectations.
