Pickwick's — Restaurant in Vienna

Terrible experience - my friend and I went there to get a drink before a bar crawl and were greeted with an unwelcome bartender who shouted at us to sit down and that we couldn’t order drinks from the bar despite there being absolutely no signage to that effect or table service being effected. My friend and I swiftly left the premises before being brought back on a bar crawl tour as one of the stops where that same bartender then shouted at the group that “was not happening tonight” on what I only assume to have be preplanned stop on the trip and organised in advance. This obviously then ruined the plans of a guided tour and ruined the night for many in the group. The group then had to leave the venue and only after our tour guide contacted management were we brought back in and told that we would get a free shot; when we got up to the bar for said free shot that very same bartender then rudely told us that we didn’t get a choice of what shot we would get. No one has allergies I guess. And then that any drink we would purchase would be in a plastic cup. The drinks were terrible, and inconsistent in quality. The service was consistently terrible and abysmal. Quite frankly that bartender was one of the worst customer service experiences that...

Such a shame to see one of my favorite pubs go downhill like this. All staff on duty were incredibly unmotivated and unfriendly After ordering a frozen margarita and receiving one without the crucial salt rim, I was given a salt shaker and the instructions to "just lick the rim and put the salt on". I politely asked for my (quite pricey) drink to be made properly and got an attitude, but eventually the drink came back in a new, salted glass with the words "here's your million dollar margarita" I really am not one to complain but the audacity was too much. The formerly fantastic milkshakes also tasted like ice cream blended with tap water

I would not recommend pickwicks anymore, even though it hurts my heart after years of being a loyal visitor

I will never be recommending this place to anyone. The waitress first told me to share my onion ring sauces with my friend and refused to bring my own even if i paid the full price, and then yelled at me for wanting to pay with card and not telling her before she brought the receipt, when it was her responsibility to ask. Honestly the worst service i have experienced in Vienna so far and its a miracle it survives in the competitive Schwedenplatz area where it is swarmed with much better options.
