First of all, the entrance to this place resembles a normal window, but actually it’s an automatic sliding door. Inside is cozy, the atmosphere is relaxed and homely. We were greeted by the very nice and polite serving personnel, who found seats for us. We ordered 2 beef ramens, an order of gyoza and tap water, which was served cold and with a lemon slice for freshness. Now, the food… I cannot recommend it enough. The ramen soup was thick, very flavorfull, it had a full body, you can clearly taste the coconut milk, sesame oil, beef fat, mushrooms, the soy sauce and the spices. I recommend not adding any other spices available on the table and just savor the chef’s work and natural flavors. The soup will come alredy perfectly salted and perfectly spicy. The noodles used are the thin kind, very long, they have a nice bite and chew to them, and I understand the choice, since they will be coated with the soup better. You get a perfectly cooked soy infused egg, some cabbage, bamboo sprouts, green onions, mushrooms and two slices of thick beef meat. Absolutely sublime. Me and my girlfriend were feeling sick from travelling and were very tired, and after eating here, we felt like we spent a day at a spa, no cap. The gyoza was very very tasty, the cabbage inside was sweet and together with the salty pork, the browned chewy gyoza wrap and sauce, god damn, we can never get enough of...
Read moreWe unfortunately couldn’t make earlier like we wanted because of the public transportation being far away. But reading the good reviews we were curious to eat it. Seeing that it closes at 10:30pm we thought we could make arriving there a bit before 10pm. In fact we did- at 9:50. Because we were in a rush to get in and trying to make it, we didn’t stop outside to read what was written on the door. We did find later on when the hostess told us after we greeted her that the kitchen was closed because it closes at 10pm and it’s written outside. Understood, but it wasn’t still closing time and we just wanted a ramen - that in all restaurants we have eaten it never took more then 10 minutes to be get ready. Maybe the food is good there, but the effort to accommodate a client that clearly wants to eat in your place and saying it’s closing time - when it actually isn’t...
Read moreI went there with my boyfriend recently and we ordered the following: -Gyujan: It was brothy, warm heaven with caramelized pork belly. -Yasai: Those "Schmortomaten"... I have tried to recreate them at home but it didn't even get closed to the magic they must do to those cherry tomatoes... -Matcha Cheesecake with Miso Caramel: I cannot articulate how good, light, fluffy but still bittersweet matcha-y it was. And the salted caramel sauce but with miso? BRILLIANT!
Our waiters were extremely nice, the place is small and busy but you can just get a good izakaya feeling and feels perfectly fitting to a lovely ramen shop in the...
