My husband and I bought tickets on Viennaconcerts.com website for Schonbroon Orangery concert (12/29/2022; 8:30 pm). The cost of one ticket was 82 Euro and I believe it is not worth it. The concert programs were 5 Euro, the print outs were not available. The Schonbroon orangery is 4 min walk from U4 station. The place itself is not very big or very impressive but it is clean and decent enough. The chairs are not very comfortable but ok for 1. 5 hr concert. When we arrived, we were asked to leave our coats at the cloak room for which you have to pay. I didn’t because inside it was chilly and I was cold. Also, it was a rather expensive fur and I was not comfortable leaving it there. Good thing though, because after the concert, over 100 people had to wait fir their coats.
The website said that we should print out the confirmation info for the concert which we did. We were first in line to get in to take the seats, but then we were told to go to the ticket office to change our printed page for “actual” tickets. The whole process was very confusing to us and I don’t remember the website mentioning it at all. Because of the confusing process and lack of clear info on their website, we didn’t get good seats.
At the time the Christmas market was already closed and a lot of people were disappointed because they came earlier to see it too. So the only option was to go to a small bar and order something while waiting to be admitted. I asked for Prosecco and I was told that they have the soarkling wine which is the same. The employees were not knowledgeable and were giving inconsistent information.
Overall, not a nice experience...
Read moreDisappointed at the amount I was charged over the face value of the tickets received - 14euros per ticket. I should have booked direct with Volksoper and then I would also have been able to select specific seats, which you can't do with Viennaconcerts. Only realised too late!
Edit: I am going to respond to ViennaConcerts points made below. I have repeated the booking process to consider your points and I still do not believe that there was sufficiently transparent information on this. I see no 'Price Info' at the top of the homepage? Is this contained within some other menu option? On scrutiny I can see a clickable link to reveal the information about the 14euro service charge per ticket during the booking process - why not just have it transparently available without needing to click? My booking confirmation received the next day did reveal seats, but that was no good to me at that point - I was committed and you have no facility to return tickets without losing money, as per your terms and conditions. I am sure your service in general is very good, I can not comment on that in depth as I will only receive tickets when I arrive - but I stand by my original comments that I was disappointed with the extent of the extra charges after I found out I could book direct for far less and additionally...

I will describe my "wonderful" experience of purchasing tickets through this company.
I wanted to surprise my wife and bought tickets for The Phantom of the Opera. I paid for them and received a confirmation email. The next evening, I went to the opera, only to find that my order C200225047 could not be found—neither by name, nor by email, nor by order number.
Customer support simply ignored my calls to the hotline, and I was forced to buy a second pair of tickets. I never received any emails with the tickets.
I thought I would be able to resolve the issue with customer support, but no. For several days, they kept insisting that the tickets were sent and that I was the one who didn’t know how to use my email. I provided all the evidence that no email was ever received, but they refused to refund my money.
