Gazelli Cafe — Restaurant in Baku City

So my mom and I arrived after a concert at 10.15 pm and we have asked if it was possible to eat and drink a glass. The blond-haired waiter said that yes, of course, it is possible. After seated, we were informed that the KITCHEN closes at 11 pm, so we were requested to choose quite quickly our dishes, which we understood and in 5 min we took our decision. I took tortellini spinach, very tasty, but the rib eye , that actually costs 75 Manat, was dry and chewy. Do not recommend it. The cocktails were served at the same time than the food so we let them aside to eat. After less than 5 min after receiving our dishes, we were requested to pay, without even having the time to eat. That restaurant with standing, asking for credit card when you are starting to eat. I asked the waiter to wait and as soon as we finished our plate, it was 10.50, we were asked to receive our cocktail IN A MUG FOR TAKEAWAY, so WE HAVE TO LEAVE NOW. Imagine, a bill of 160 manat, and your cocktail in a mug , not having 1 min to enjoy a sip. This is just the contrary of what hospitality means, and we just left our cocktails full on the table and left, as requested , because of course there was no point for us to take an espresso martini in a mug to drink it on the streets. Next time : DO NOT ACCEPT PEOPLE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO SERVE THEM. And says that the restaurant closes, not the kitchen at 11, because it is two very different things. We ended the evening with a bittersweet feeling, and we do not recommend the place to anyone who wants to feel welcome and not robbed for a 41€ chewy steak. Bad luck for you. My experience at this cafe has left me eager for more, prompting two visits within a short span. Their coffee boasting rich flavor and a perfect brew. Additionally, their coffee ice cream proved to be a delightful treat, with its creamy texture and intense coffee flavor leaving me craving more. On my second visit, I decided to indulge in their breakfast offerings. Opting once again for their exceptional coffee, I paired it with their egg Benedict, which satisfied my expectations. We tried also the crepes which left with a satisfied taste. Used to be a frequent visitor of this cafe. However since last year or so the quality dwindled as well as the service levels, especially attitude of the waiting staff. Just recently visited their spa (which was topnotch) and headed to the cafe for some grub. The waiters were leisurely sitting or otherwise chatting to each other without acknowledging our presence. We eventually attracted their attention, and were told in the most impolite fashion that they were full. Customer service is evidently below par, and needs to be addressed by their management.
