SUSHI ROOM BAKU — Restaurant in Baku City

Strolled into Sushi Room with my hopes as high as the Flame Towers, ready for a culinary adventure in the land of 4.9 stars. Left with my hopes a bit more akin to the Maiden Tower—still standing, but a little weathered. Let's talk about it.

The vegan set, with its 24 pieces, felt like an ode to the many shades of... well, the same flavor. It was as if they were playing a game of 'Guess the Ingredient,' with the avocado impersonating a rock in a grand performance. Spoiler: the rock won.

The hot salmon roll, however, was the hero we didn't know we needed. A delicious plot twist in our dining saga, creative and well-crafted, like a piece of art you can eat.

But alas, where was the tea? A sushi place without tea is like Baku without its winds—just doesn't feel quite right.

A TOTALLY HONEST REVIEW, Lets start with the atmosphere, it was pretty good, cosy and welcoming but the songs were pretty annoying and none related The sushi rolls werent that bad but apart from some problems like they were soggy and not well rolled like the rice wasnt that sticky i guess, and the salmons had some bones in them, THE SOY SAUCE WASNT PURE it had some water mixed with it that didnt make me happy at all... The TOM YAM WAS BAD like why does it have sea weed in it like what??? That doesn't go in tom yam THE CUCUMBERS werent fresh!!!! I could feel it being a bit slippery and there was too much of cucumber inside some sushi's other that other ingredients like u wont feel the fish n stuff cus of them THE PRICE was reasonable for what u get, i would consider it pretty good for the price you're paying.. And i would be super happy if they had these thick east asia spoons and not these metal ones. But in total it was pretty good, if ur not a regular sushi eater and want to get a taste for it its a good place to start from but not...

I recently visited Sushi Room Baku with high hopes, given its central location in the city and the numerous positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but pleasant.

Firstly, the quality of the sushi was subpar. The products were not fresh, and it was evident in the taste and texture of the food. This was highly disappointing for a sushi restaurant, where freshness is paramount.

Moreover, the staff at Sushi Room Baku were inexperienced. They seemed unsure about the menu and were not attentive to the needs of the customers. This lack of professionalism only added to the negative experience.

Despite being located in the heart of the city, I would strongly advise against visiting Sushi Room Baku.
