I cannot enter the Book Center without a mandatory entrance check if I have book or product in my backpack. In January 4, 2023 I was looking for a quiet cafe where I can study with my laptop. The doorman said whether I had a book, I said to him that I have laptop and I'm going to sit in Cafe section. He said anyway I should put all my books and any product in a shelf, even if I showed him I just had half of stick of confectionery he refused to let me inside. What a shame! Why bother people with such attitude? I liked the ambiance and studied couple of times there ordering something to drink and eat during my study time. Despite high prices in cafe, I went there from time to time. But I know that there are a lot of places which give good services without such disturbance. So I will go to other places. For example, Honours Cafe Library is one of such excellent places with great condition and WITHOUT monitoring in the entrance.

One of the only quiet places in the city center one can get engaged in study and work activities with his\her laptop, but unfortunately, the doormen\door-women keep disturbing users claiming that computer bags are not allowed inside, by having no indication to any regulation guideline neithing giving any reasonable argument. Utterly disappointing. Even in a backward establishment like Akhundov library, the doorkeepers do not disturb visitors with such a manner.

Note: I have been a regular user of this book center and It had never occurred to me to be prevented in getting inside for such a reason until recently. (until new doorwoman was employed, I presume.) This gives enough reason to speculate that regulations are volatile and depends highly on doorkeepers' decency. I hope the administration would see my review and act upon these...
