GONE FISH'N BEACH BAR &GRILL — Restaurant in New Providence

I am so confused at the reviews on this place. I don't understand. We stopped in here with plenty of time after locals kept telling us we needed to go to fish fry. We looked at reviews and menus of each place and picked this one. First - they told us to sit anywhere. We grabbed a spot and we sat... and sat... and sat.... about 15 min goes by and finally a young man comes and gets out order - drinks and food. And then we sat again for about another 10 min. Still no drinks so we ask. He said that he didn't know how to make our drinks and he was waiting on his boss. We order a different drink so we didn't have to wait anymore. 10 min later- finally get our drink. Keep in mind- they are not busy at all.. Still no food. We were enjoying the view which is incredible and the only reason this should not be 0 stars. After we had been sitting for about 45 min we finally ask because we were starting to worry about making our flight. He says it will be right up. 15 min later we tell them we are going to have to just pay for our drinks again they say it's coming now. Another 10 min later I grab my stuff and my husband goes to pay for our drinks and they finally bring out our food in to-go boxes - this is lobster and jerk chicken so messy. We can't eat this in a cab. My husband pays them $80 for the food and we try to scarf down the meal while waving down a cab. The food was TERRIBLE! Lobster was so overcooked it was like eating an eraser. Jerk chicken was just chicken with some BBQ sauce on it. So $80 down and our last meal in Nassau and it absolutely sucked. *I didn’t get to capture the view there but I must say it’s very beautiful!! You’d get to experience the beach breeze that we all love to smell and feel as you dine in.

*It’s always a fresh atmosphere when I go there and so is the seafood!!! I could live for conch fritters the way I love them! However, not everyone’s conch fritters I like. These ones here though😫 I could eat over and over again. It was mouth watering the way every thing aligned. The sauce was lickinnnnn and the conch fritters was nice and hot!!

*It wasn’t a long wait and I surely enjoyed the conversations in there. I didn’t know what I wanted to drink so I requested something that the bartender recommended. It was soo good!! I wish I could tell y’all what it was exactly, but I didn’t get the name for it.

*The customer service was amazing too! Everyone was welcoming and there was good vibes being shared.

Sadly we had a bad experience last night. We had planned to come here due to the great reviews. We ordered drinks after 5 mins. 7 drinks came quickly, sadly 3 cocktails took 45 minutes to arrive. They were simply pomegranate and vodka, nothing too complicated and 3 all the same. We saw other groups being served before us.
