As a former air bnb host and frequent traveler I already know what to expect when I travel to a home in the Caribbean. The area is safe and the locals don’t bother tourist on the contrary to what others have written on these reviews. The location is in walking space to several tourist attractions and tour pick up drop off sites . You will share a bathroom in the home and there are several large bedrooms that lock with personal keys . Each room has a fan clean towels clean linens to sleep on access to a kitchen with clean water fridge microwave stove and excellent WiFi. The shower pressure is fine and typical of island homes. You can rent an atv or a bike from the owner and get help if you need it as he is pleasant and extremely helpful. I got lost in a taxi and he actually came to get me on his motorcycle which he didn’t have to do. Can’t beat the price or location for a clean bed decent shower secure room strong WiFi charging outlets and access that all you could see or want to do! The bathroom is actually very clean depending on who is renting the other rooms (typically other tourist of one particular race of people generally aren’t mindful of their long hair in the shower or sink which often leads to clogged showers and I’ll leave that at that but it’s a common traveling issue I’ve repeatedly seen this race of people create haphazardly with no mindfulness of who they may be sharing a bathroom with ) this is of no fault...
Read moreI was sent to Nassau on a business trip with a VERY limited budget from my work. I was worried about finding lodgings that would work with this budget and was relieved to find this little gem not too far from the city center, and also located not too far from where I needed to go for work-related reasons. The property owner Troy gave me ride-share and taxi suggestions before my arrival, and I was able to get cheap and reliable transportation from the airport to the hotel. Unlike the bigger hotels, there was no set check-in time so I was able to access my room as soon as I arrived in the morning, and the other property owner Min was very thorough in explaining how the lock system worked at the property. The security was very good and all of the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood itself is quiet as well. The fresh mangos available in the shared kitchen for guests were delicious and the kitchen had all one needed to have meals during the stay. Troy was also a joy to converse with, and I could really tell that they both care a lot about taking care of their guests. I was sad when I had to leave after only a few nights, but Troy gave me a Da Pink and White Palace hat to remember my trip by. Thank you for everything! I strongly reccommend for those who want a more authentic experience than you get in the big...
Read moreThe only advantage of this inn is the relative proximity to town. Other than that, it is a terrible place to stay.
The nightmare is the owner who is extremely rude and doesn't know how to speak to guests, sounding as if he were speaking to his subordinates. No greetings, no "thank you", no "please", always uttering unnecessarily many words in a commanding tone. Always naked, scattering his sweat here and there, including the guest's document. So disgusting. He also grumbled that he did not know Agoda that I booked this accommodation through. "What the hell is that! I don't know Agoda!" It's totally none of my business, and he is not supposed to complain about it to guests.
Beware that guest rooms have no AC. The common space does, but the owner orders guests to keep it off. Note: he orders, not asks/requests.
The two assistant ladies were very nice and helpful but they were there temporarily for the summer holiday and are already back in their respective home countries in Europe.
Therefore, I would never come back nor recommend this place to anyone.
I seldom post negative reviews, but this is really...
