Twin Brothers in Nassau is an absolute must-visit if you're seeking an authentic taste of the Bahamas. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by an energetic and vibrant atmosphere that captures the essence of island life. The restaurant is charmingly decorated, creating a relaxed yet lively setting perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. We began our culinary journey with a Caesar Salad adorned with succulent grilled shrimp. The crisp romaine was perfectly dressed, and the shrimp added a delightful flavor that set the tone for the meal. We opted for the fried Grouper for our main courses, which was expertly cooked to golden perfection. It was served alongside a generous portion of rice and peas and a fresh salad, each bite bursting with the vibrant flavors of the islands, and we chose the Jerk Chicken, a dish that was nothing short of sensations. The chicken was marinated to perfection, delivering a tender and spicy kick that paired beautifully with the classic comfort of rice and peas and crispy fries. What truly elevates the experience at Twin Brothers is the exceptional customer service. The staff was not only professional and attentive but also genuinely friendly, making us feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and enthusiasm added a special touch to the evening, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. As we savored our meals, we couldn't help but notice the lively buzz around us. The restaurant was bustling with energy, filled with laughter and conversation, which only added to the charm of the evening. It's no wonder that Twin Brothers has been highlighted on the Food Network; it’s a culinary gem that showcases the best of Bahamian cuisine. Twin Brothers is a highly recommended destination for anyone looking to indulge in delicious food while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of Nassau. With its delightful menu, charming ambiance, and outstanding service, it’s an experience that should not be missed when visiting the Bahamas!

Our 1st Time in the Bahamas in over 10 years. So we took the advice of some locals and went to visit a place called Twin Brothers . Not really what I expected when described by the Locals. There is no outside seating it's an inside seating, white tablecloth very nice looking clean environment. A lot of locals eating as well as some of the Cruise ship travelers. We went there specifically looking for fresh fish and conch. My mother ordered the whole fried local snapper. It was cooked to perfection tasted amazing unfortunately she ate it too fast so I could not get a picture . The rest of us ordered appetizers and drinks. Unfortunately the mix drinks were way too sweet and definitely lacking in alcohol. The local Kalik beer of course does not disappoint. Conch Chowder was for phenomenal you can see by the close up picture it had no potato filler here, this was pure chunked fresh conch, spicy & delicious, well worth the trip. We also ordered cracked conch which resembles Calamari but definitely much much better and definitely very fresh. Unfortunately I can't the same for the conch fritters. There was barely any conch inside those fritters, mostly filler very very disappointed and expressed such to the staff that's why I'll give it a 4 star out of 5. I wish that the conch fritters had lived up to the hype just like the chowder and a cracked conch did. Overall I would revisit again. Note: locals will tell you, you can walk there from the port entrance. I do not recommend it as there is no direct path. Take one of the jitney cabs much quicker and safer in my opinion.

When we arrived in the Bahamas, everyone raved about us going to the Fish Fry. It was highly recommended so we went with a few others. Honestly, it is very overrated. We are glad we went just for the sole purpose of us going to see the "local" side of the island and try the "local" food. But I would never go back .We tried Twin Brothers, mainly because it has appeared on numerous TV shows. We ordered the conch fritters. It had quite a bit pieces of conch shell in them (made it difficult to eat) and they taste very similar to hush puppies. Very bland and just okay. We also ordered their fried fish dish. It was typical fried fish. Not much seasoning. I asked what type of fish it was and she said it was swai. We actually really like swai fish when eating fried fish, and the fish was very clean tasting (not fishy). It was good, but not great. Our friends had the conch sandwich and ceviche. Both were good, but not great. I would say go the the Fish Fry to take in the atmosphere if you want to see some local aspect of the island and support some of the local businesses - as we wanted to. Also, there are a lot of locals trying to sell you things, so be prepared to bring some cash if you want to buy anything. Also, they may mislead you and state that they have ocean or water views - this is not true. None of them have a good view worth seeing from the restaurants - just fyi. We left one restaurant because they said they had ocean views and it was a view of water that looked like a small canal near a shipyard. With all that said, I don't regret seeing the local part of the island - but I definitely lost half a day where I could have sat beach side at our hotel.

We were on vacation from out of the country. We asked several locals where their favorite places to eat were and consistently it was “Fish Fry”. For a long time we thought that was the name of a place itself until we realized it’s a strip of places. On that strip we were consistently told both Twin Brothers and Goldie’s so we went with what looked good to us and ended up at Twin Brothers. This did not disappoint! We walked in around 130pm, prime lunch time and were immediately greeted and sat. We had the option of inside or outside but it was too warm for us after walking downtown so we chose inside to cool off. Our waitress Anastasia, I believe, was wonderful. She was pleasant, very attentive and even gave helpful suggestions. My husband ordered a mango cocktail and thought it was wonderful. We ordered an appetizer of fried shrimp, and our meals were the fried snapper and the grilled lobster tail. Both meals were absolutely delicious. We expected a full snapper with bones, but am mentioning it here for anyone who doesn’t expect that, you do have to pick through the bones to get the meat. The grilled buttered lobster tail was smothered in a wonderful seasoning. I was not a big fan of the rice and peas but my husband loved them and we both enjoyed the Mac and cheese. Street is a bit run down and overpopulated but I truly recommend this taking a visit. The service and food are worth the trip! Thank you all, we will be back for sure if we travel to the Bahamas again.

Da Fish Fry was ok as a place to eat. Very pricy, my grouper was >$40, came with 2 sides but had good flavor. A bit tough and lots of fishbones so be careful. The drinks were good quality and had enough alcohol without going overboard. The ambiance was a little odd and is ultimately what dropped the review to a 3. Outside makes sense. Inside is really loud with what sounds like the same college marching band song stuck on repeat. I couldn't add a video so you will have to experience it for yourself. There is so much good music in the Bahamas that I was put off by the same loud trumpets playing an indistinct melody for 40 minutes. So, between the high priced fish, the average service, the boney and tough fish, and the atmosphere I'd suggest trying one of the many other local places. There's so many options that you can't go wrong. I have since learned that the music is known as junkanoo and is celebrated here. I watched a parade and it makes more sense when seen. Unfortunately, it doesn't translate well with an extended soundtrack and no visuals while trying to eat and have a good time with friends. If the owners see this, my recommendation would be to play other island music to break up the constant horn.

We decided to venture out of the hotel and grab a taxi to Fish Fry which is a strip that has various Bahamian restaurants. we did some research before we arrived and was told that Twin Brothers is really famous and that we should try it out. Since the food at the hotel was expensive and we gave this a try. I really liked that we could sit upstairs from what i saw. So When we entered we saw two ladies waiting to seat us over. However one wanted to sit us downstairs inside where there was nobody, so we told her we wanted upstairs. Seems like that annoyed her as in the Bahamas they earn more money by the tips. We went upstairs it was lively, in the balcony, the atmosphere was really nice, a lot of bahamian people were also there which lets you know that if the locals are eating here the restaurant is good. Sat down and grabbed some Kalik beers, very nice and refreshing. and then we ordered the Spicy Wings with plantain, coleslaw, peas & rice. Also try the Fried Conch with macaroni & cheese, plantain and peas & rice I must say the food was really good, will recommend for people to try it out when you are there. It's not a huge deal of a restaurant like people make it seem though.
