The newest little coffee shop and cafe downtown - Olde Nassau Cafe on Parliament Street is neatly tucked away in that building where years prior you could have your eyes examined and purchase eye wear. The interior has been entirely redone with cozy and quaint bistro tables and seating, wall murals, quaint memorabilia and such.

Very reasonably priced menu of coffees, Bahamian teas, soups of the day, sandwiches, wraps, deserts and Bahamian confectionary favourites like Benny and peanut cakes. The food is very tasty and we'll prepared. Coffee brewed to my preferred strength, jacked up coffee an option and other soft drink options. The desert cabinet is a treat to look at. I overheard multiple customers raving about the baked goods in there

Background atmosphere with relaxing cafe background music. Games for 2 at most tables to pass the time away.

The crew is obviously doing their best. Very welcoming, courteous, service oriented, but I believe because business is doing so well, they already need more help at the front to serve customers, take and place orders with kitchen, make coffees and serve tables. There's a superwoman at front of house doing this and holding her own , but yes, to have a smoother service flow help is needed.

You can order in advance to pickup - this helps. So yes, go visit, see how...

The reason why I'm giving 2 stars is because they didn't have change in dollars. It took way too long to preapear the espresso, and there was no toilet paper on the restroom. Also there was no beef sandwich avaliable, despite the fact that there was one on the menu.

Those were the bad sides of my experience here. Now I'm gonna point the good ones.

The lady on desk was very polite and, as far as I could notice, she was trying to help and be kind, despite the fact that there was only her to help out. The music is great for a coffee place, basically instrumental jazz. The place looks clean, and they have a great WiFi quality for costumers.

If I can give a suggestion for improvement, that would be to have toilet paper for costumers and let written on the wall in case they lack an ingredient for something avaliable on menu. I would come back again if that can be solved.

5 stars thou for the kindness and polite manner of the lady who was working...

Great food, wonderful vibe, really bad service in terms of one of the items ordered. They kept saying the last sandwich was coming, it took 45 minutes more than the other lunches, and they kept lying about the reason. (It was deli turkey and they said they had to "cook" the turkey. When we pointed out that another person got the turkey, they said oh sorry no, the problem was that they ordered the sandwich instead of the wrap. We said no we ordered two wraps. Then they just offered free banana bread. It wasn't until I talked to the manager that they took the sandwich off our bill.) To top it off, we asked for directions to the bus depot (which turned out to be close by) and they sent us a 10-minute walk away to a restaurant where no buses came. Not impressed with their version of...

This place is literally the best thing that happened to us when we took a wrong turn to head to the Queen's Staircase. 😎 In dire need of a sugar rush, we fell in love with this cafe's version of a guava breadpudding. 🤩 The tropical/berry smoothie I also had there was exactly what I needed to get through the thousands of steps on a very hot day. 🫠 ✨ Extra star for the service. Little did we know, we got there at closing time and they still accepted to receive us (we realized on the way out - sorryyyy..) 🥹 It is a gorgeous, colorful, playful and oh so delightful little place filled with the authenticity and generosity of its owner(s)/employees. So go ahead, people: get lost, and find yourself in this place. 🩵

Olde Nassau Cafe was such a comforting stop during my first trip to the Bahamas. The owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even letting us store our bags and offering helpful guidance about the area. Her kindness created a safe and friendly atmosphere that really stood out. The food took a little time, but it was clear she was running everything herself, and it didn’t take away from the experience. I enjoyed spending time with friends, playing games, and recharging in a space that felt genuine and relaxed. This cafe became a highlight of my visit and left me with a lovely impression of Nassau.
