This is an amazing and beautiful church. The architecture is astounding as it was added on to 4 complete times since it was established in 1670 over 300 years ago. The ornate woodwork and exquisite stained glass windows are something to behold and don't get me started on the pews as you just don't see this kind of love and craftsmanship put into anything anymore. Whether you believe in God or not (I for sure do) you should just go see the love and work put into this amazing church. The pastor lady was super gracious and kind taking time from her day to talk to me and have a tiny bit of fellowship while giving me some of the low down on the history of such a beautiful place. Pictures are worth a thousand words so I've included a few. Just astounding what humankind can do with their mind, heart, and hands. I consider myself truly blessed to have seen this place and imagine how many souls have been saved as they still hold services and have since 1670 just so...

About 5 years ago in October a man named Troy who drove a Taxi was sent to me as an Angel from God. He literally risked his life for my husband and I, and I owe him my life for the courage he had. He did not know me, but God spoke to him. I am not trying to sound dramatic. But without getting into the whole story this man literally saved our lives and risked his own. I need to find him. What he did for us was so profound. Divine intervention happened many times, God was with us. He will surely be in heaven. But I must speak to him before we met again in God's kingdom. I need to find him. If you know of whom I'm speaking of, please reply to this comment of how I can get ahold of him. He knows what he did for us. He knows the risks he took. Please, help me find him. He volunteers at this church. His name is Troy and drives a taxi. Please help me find him. God...

Amazing Church from the outside, it was constructed in the year 1670, and it was the 1st Anglican Church of the Bahamas 🇧🇸. The tower itself was built with lime stones and press together with cement by the locals BAHAMIANS. Unfortunately, it has been closed due to COVID-19. We were unable to pick inside but one of the locals mentioned to us that this Church has been rebuilt more that 4 times and this one is the fifth version of this Church. Previous structures were destroyed by Spaniards. We just learned a little be of history here, YESSSSSSSSSSS, we loved it. We want to thanks GOD for giving us another opportunity to experience his creation 🙏, SINCERELY, TONY...

Very pretty Church. Our ship had 2 stops, Nassau and Free Port. We used this stop for History/Culture (The church, Fort Fin castle, Queens Staircase, And walking around enjoying street performers. We walked everywhere as everything was close) and the other stop for shopping/beach. This was our first destination. We just walked right in and started looking around at all the decorations and figures. Plaques inside give you some history.

What a beautiful cathedral. The Christ Church Anglacan Chathedral is beautiful. The stained glass on each of the windows is astonishing. For being an older church, this looks like it's been loved. There is a restoration project under way, but it does not detract from the beauty of this place. The ceiling and organ were exquisite as well. Well worth a look if you are in the area.
