Escaped the tourist traps and was glad I made a special trip here (because I eat a special diet)

Truth is the veggie mutton plate and barbecue soy curls plate were fantastic and full of flavor

Fresh, healthy, and tasty real food that left me feeling satisfied, vital, and strong

Wish that right now I was eating the very yummy and very huge plate of yams, potatoes, plantains, rice and peas, protein, and salad

The people there were welcoming and friendly, and helpful with recommending gluten free options on the menu

Picked up the goodness and headed right down to the beachside picnic tables for a picnic with a sweet...

iTal is viTal in the Bahamas. The food is fresh, cooked to order, and full of nutrition. We ordered the BBQ tofu, teriyaki curls and curry curry chunks. Each meal for today was served with brown coconut rice and beans, steamed cabbage, plantains, salad and a whole grain roll. They also have fresh and restorative juices including beet juice.

Me and the Rasta also discussed the positivity and livity of the Rastafarian movement as well as exchanged stories from our spiritual journeys to Ethiopia, the origin.

I walked away full of enlightenment in addition to the...

It is off the beaten path, but well worth the trek. Food is vegan or pescovegetarian. Very filling and had leftovers for later. The dishes are well balanced with brown rice, vegetables, salad and pasta side dish in addition to whatever protein you choose. There are also a variety juices for sale which are very tasty and healthy. Would highly recommend. Not really meant for dining in however. Prices really reasonable at $10-14 for the most part. Fish dishes are a little more. If you are looking for good tasting local food, this...

Incredible little vegan gem in the heart of Nassau. They serve fish as well for the pescatarians but have full vegan options. If you call ahead you can get directions. It is right across from the school. Prices are better than any other restaurant in the area. Food was so good we ate the entire plate before remembering to take a picture. It is takeaway only so grab a bag and head down to Junkanoo beach for a lovely seaside dinner.
