I recently stayed at the Amari hotel in Dhaka and was quite impressed with the breakfast offered. The variety of options catered to both local and international tastes, ensuring there was something for everyone.
The buffet included a wide selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and cereals, which were all of high quality. For those looking for a heartier meal, there were several hot dishes available, including traditional Bangladeshi items like parathas and curries, as well as Western-style scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausages.
One of the standout features was the made-to-order omelette station, where the chef prepared omelettes with a choice of various fresh ingredients. The coffee was excellent, and there was a good selection of teas and fresh juices as well.
The dining area was clean and well-organized, with a pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff who ensured that everything was well-stocked and clean. The breakfast hours were convenient, accommodating both early risers and those who prefer a later start.
My each day started by a warm and friendly welcome of Ms Elsia and breakfast were served by a nice gentleman Mr Byzid and Ms Janat, special thanks to the chef Ms Sadiqa who made every day special by preparing my favorite omelette.
Overall, the breakfast at Amari hotel was a delightful start to the day and a highlight of my stay. I highly recommend it to anyone staying...
Read moreVisited this place for their buffet dinner, had an excellent experience!
The food, service and the ambiance - everything was top notch. Upon entering, we were greeted by one of the staffs who gave us a tour of the whole place and showed us the menu. Different types of foods are placed at different places in the restaurant, so without the tour, it felt a little confusing at first.
Almost everything we tasted were delicious. The best part was their seafood section. The live kabab station was a little disappointing, none of kababs tasted good. But other than that, everything else were extremely good. The dessert section was rich, too.
Service was again, excellent. That's what you expect from a high end place like this. They'll help you with choosing your food (if you want) and explain the specials. Their child policy was good, too. They made our two kids' meals complimentary, without enquiring about the age.
Definitely, it's an expensive place. But you'll get value for money for the food and service. Moreover, they regularly have offers going on (buy 1 get 3 type) without requiring any specific card, so it gets a little less costly.
They have valet parking and open smoking zone.
Highly recommended! You...
Read moreI recently dined at Amaya Food Gallery in Amari Dhaka and unfortunately had a mixed experience. The place was overcrowded, which led to the staff struggling to keep up with the demand for service. It was evident that the employees were doing their best, but the high volume of guests made it tough for them to provide the level of service one would expect.
On the positive side, the food quality was good, and the variety offered was impressive. There were numerous options to choose from, catering to different tastes and preferences. However, the ambiance was not as enjoyable as I had hoped, mainly due to the noise and bustle of the overcrowded dining area.
Overall, I would rate my experience at Amaya Food Gallery as a 2-star experience. While the food was satisfying, I expected better service and a more pleasant atmosphere. I hope that in the future, they can improve on these aspects to create a more enjoyable...
