De Beurze — Restaurant in Bruges

When we arrived we were seated. then past the menu and order Drinks while we were looking. After ready to order the waiter came over and most of the menu items were not in stock. So we finally order and when the items were just about to be served we were told that the very items we had order that another of the item wasn't in stock by this point we were not happy and just asked to pay for the drinks and we will find somewhere else. the waiter was not having any of it and was trying to get us to have the item. we clearly stated we were not happy after you should of told us that the items were all out of stock before we purchase anything as we would of moved on. The waiters were incredible rude consdiering we were polite up to the point were he just wouldn't listen to us and we just asked for the bill. we were sorting out the money where he snatch the money from my mother in law hands. I wouldn't recommend anywhere on the main square as this would be the second time i have had food on the square and both times its not been a good experience. try and find little cafes on...

Great welcome from Nepalese staff, very tasty food of typical, authentic local cuisine (tried the flemish beef stew), really nice presentation, as per my picture below and great taste. I enjoyed the place on the square with great views. However, I do have to mention the very rude Belgian member of staff who made me feel awful. He got upset at the fact that we wanted to see the special offer menu (€20 for 3 course meal and a drink) and from then on he just treated us like dirt for the whole meal, slamming plates onto the table, being very short with us, and made me feel so uncomfortable like I have done something wrong. At the end, when I thought nothing else can happen, I had the ordeal to be presented with bill. I have never, ever in my whole life, anywhere I travelled in this world, as a woman, I have never been presented with the bill. If you don't want to genderize, put the bill in the middle. It was a really disappointing place to go. Service from the kitchen was terribly slow, which means in the weather one has to wait in the cold for at least 30mins in the evening. Two ugly things: Me and my husband were attracted by their special daily menu outside and decided to have a try. However, we were offered with the regular menu (same food but more expensive price) instead of the ones we saw outside. I had to ask the waiter in order to get the special menu. My husband ordered a €20 steak menu with an extra €2 charge, which was written on the menu. But BE CAREFUL with the SAUCE since they would charge you for €3.5 for the water-like sauce without telling you anything when you order! And btw, the waiter was not as friendly as those we could meet in other regular restaurants. To sum up, this restaurant is a totally rip off and will ruin your trip in Bruges.
