I went to Bikette Burger in Sablon and tried both the beef Holstein and the chicken burger. The menu is very simple with just three patty choices beef chicken or vegetable. What stood out to me was how such a simple burger could taste so good. Fresh lettuce tomato and onions with their special burger sauce on a soft brioche bun. I added cheddar on one and the cheese of the week on the other and both worked perfectly. The beef was juicy and full of flavour and the chicken was crispy and moist. The bun was excellent and held everything together without being heavy. I cannot remember having a more delicious burger for some time. For anyone who does not like their burger pink which is normal in Europe you should ask for it well done. Other people rate this place highly as well. On Uber Eats it is around 4 out of 5 and on Deliveroo around 4.3 to 4.4. Reviewers mention the brioche buns the quality of the meat and the choice of farmhouse cheeses. Some even say the fries are among the best in Brussels with a proper crunch. On Reddit I read comments saying the burgers are big balanced and well made and that the cheese choice makes it more interesting. I tried it twice and had 2 very different experiences. Hence 3 stars. 5 star In August, it was delightful, the staff taking the order was very kind, the burger was amazing and the fries were perfectly cooked.

In October, you order and pay through your phone: fair enough, why not. But the young lady bringing the food (under 25) and the cook were not friendly at all. They actually had a very unpleasant attitude, almost despising the customers for making them work on a Sunday… The fries were soggy and badly cooked, when I asked for a new bowl of fries, i was told they’re fresh and that is why they re soggy… I had to insist to get a new batch!
