I went to eat here on a girls trip. We also found a discount code to eat here! I arrive before my friends and the restaurant looked great. They gave me good advice on the wines they had and I enjoyed my pick. The problem arrived when we had our main course and one of us didnāt have jalapeƱos. She just asked for some jalapeƱo. When the server came back, she started to explain something in rapid French. Mind you, we donāt speak the language, weāve communicated with her in English, but we do understand a little French when someone speaks slowly. The only thing Iāve heard was that is would me 5 euroās. I look at my friend and she says thatās fine. 5 euroās is a lot for a couple of slices of jalapeƱo. It took a while before she came back with a plate, which we found odd. We didnāt just get jalapeƱo, but there were sauces with it. She just dropped the plate at our table and walked away without saying anything, which resulted in me burning my hand, because she didnāt tell me the plate was hot⦠My (very pregnant) friend tasted the sauce with jalapeƱo and said āI canāt eat this, because this is very saltyā. We told the server this and she called the manager/owner. In stead of tasting the sauce, she went into an angry discussion with us, that the sauces are premade and it canāt be salty, because our dishes were made with the same sauce. So we tasted the sauces of our dishes and the sauce she brought us and the new sauce was definitely a lot more salty. She kept on denying and made us pay for jalapeƱoās with sauce, which we didnāt ate. It wouldnāt have been a problem if she at least said sorry, but her completely denying that something went wrong in the kitchen was just ridiculous. We are all humans and we make mistakes.
Because of this the service gets 2 stars. They started out good, but the middle and end was so weirdā¦
If we look at the decor, itās nice, so 4 stars.
The food was below average for a HOMECOOK!!! So absolutely not restaurant worthy. I make these dishes better at home, but because we got a 50% discount with the deal, they get 3 stars.

Unfortunately, our dinner at wallen was catastrophic due to the behavior of the manager. We booked through TheFork with a 50% discount on the menu "Ć la carte", but when it was time to pay, only a 30% discount was applied on some dishes included in the menu as advertised, despite the in the Fork app is clearly indicated a 50% discount on the entire menu. When we pointed out the discrepancy, the manager was extremely rude, arrogant and didn't explain politely why the 50% offer was not completely granted.
It was disappointing because at the contrary the waitress was very friendly with us and viceversa. Furthermore the service was good as well as the food. However, the managerās reaction and lack of professionalism left us without words. The evening ended badly. Advice: you should avoid to book...
