I was torn between going down to 2 stars vs 3. The food is below average. I have had much better middle eastern food in places that are hole in the walls.

The bigger issue I had with this place is that the owner did not tell me anything about NOT accepting Visa or Amex. No sign upfront except near the cash counter which you realize only when you are done with dinner.

We are from outside the country and didn’t have enough currency, we were jet lagged and he insisted on me going out to find an ATM machine at around 9pm. After walking around for a bit and realizing that my card was not working at the ATM in Brussels Central, I just happened to think that perhaps my Apple Card might work. So I came back and tried it and to my luck, it worked.

So, I am refraining from giving them a 2 star because it was partially my fault for not having sufficient currency but the fact that he was so rigid and not willing to accommodate my family at that hour was a...

We reserved for a group of 20 and were happily accepted. However, being there we quickly experienced that they were not able to serve a group of this size in a pleasant, professional way. We waited long to even learn about the menu and order drinks. For practical reasons, we ordered 10 menus (for 2 people each) and we got served plates to share, dips, salads and mains, but it was impossible to remotely realise if and which would be the 10 menues. I would have expected to serve 2 people one menu. We never had enough bread to even enjoy the delicious mezze, salads or meat - for the quality was very good, but the whole circumstances made it impossible to enjoy. We had to actively request the deserts as well, and two extra people from our group were not allowed to sit an extra free table and have drinks. We agreed that we cannot recommend the place for a group of any 4+ size. I also thought the price everyone paid in the end was not justified by the...

The restaurant was very disappointing. 1- We were shocked to find out they don’t accept Visa payment, which forced us to go to an ATM. This took time and caused some issues. 2- The food is served in very small plates, yet the prices are high and don’t match the portion sizes. ( Picture below ) 3- First time I’ve ever seen a restaurant with NO ketchup! We asked the staff, and the man simply said they didn’t have any. 4- There was a delay in serving the food, and I noticed there were only two employees working in the whole place. 5- Both men and women had to use the women’s restroom because the men’s restroom was broken and closed. The sink only had cold water since the hot water wasn’t working. I do not recommend...

We dined by a large window overlooking the street, where the city lights reflected softly through the glass. The first course was a delicate prawn bisque, rich in flavor but not heavy. For the main, I had roasted duck with cherry reduction — the flavors balanced beautifully between sweet and savory. My friend’s grilled salmon with dill sauce was equally impressive. The service was gracious and well-timed, giving us space to enjoy. Dessert, a caramelized banana tart, was golden and comforting. It was an evening of quiet luxury.

Went here twice while visiting Bruxelles—ordered once on ubereats and returned in person two days later because it was that good. Muhammara is my favorite dip (I’ve tried so many) and this was by far the best I had ever had—perfectly balanced sweetness, spiciness, and tanginess. I haven’t stopped thinking about it 🤤The batata harra, hummus, and falafel were also exceptional. My partner also raved about the shish taouk. Service was quick, and we felt well-taken care of. Can’t wait to come back next time I visit!
