I have no idea how this place has a 4.9-star rating because my experience was absolutely awful. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant reeked of cleaning chemicals—like a wet bathroom soaked in disinfectant. That should have been the first red flag. My coworker and I hesitated, but we decided to give it a shot. Big mistake.
Looking at the menu, I started to feel uneasy. Something about it just didn’t give me confidence that this place actually knew how to make a good barbecue. But I was already there, so I went for the all-you-can-eat ribs, thinking that if this place was known for anything, it had to be the ribs. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
When the ribs arrived, I regretted my decision immediately. They were dry, overcooked, and looked like they had been reheated multiple times. Ribs are supposed to be tender, juicy, and falling off the bone, but these were tough, dehydrated, and completely tasteless. As Gordon Ramsay would say, they were “piping hot,” which in reality meant they had just been blasted in an industrial microwave. The bones were so dry they looked like they had been sitting around for days.
Halfway through my first plate, my stomach started to feel off. By the time they brought the second serving, I could barely eat another bite. I tried, but it was just that bad. And then the bill came—over 70 euro for one of the worst meals I’ve ever had.
To make things even worse, when I asked to split the bill with my coworker, the server flat-out refused and said, "One bill, one table." I explained that we weren’t a couple—just two coworkers—but he didn’t care. His attitude was just as bad as the food. When I told the owner, "I’ll never come back here again if this is how you run your business," he just shrugged and said, "Okay. Bye." No apology, no concern—just total indifference.
Honestly, this place belongs on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. I can already hear Gordon Ramsay tearing apart their microwaved ribs and lazy, careless service. If he ever walked into this place, he’d probably shut it down on the spot.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The only highlight of my night was leaving and grabbing a chocolate cookie afterward to get rid of the awful taste. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about their food...
Read moreBE CAREFUL!! 4.9 is definitely unrealistic rate. The wine is overpriced and food was dry. The ribs definitely didn’t come from the grill since they immediately got dry when they got colder.
The bottle came already with the cork open which tells already a lot. Always pay attention how the wine is served.
The waiter was very impolite and having no clue about how to properly serve wine. The waiter gave a really uncomfortable feeling. Our food wasn’t good and when we asked for replacement, her reaction was incredibly unfair. It felt as we were unwelcome in her house or as if we invaded a place and not being in a restaurant.
When we wanted to split the bill, she rudely denied it. Overall, I really think one can find another better restaurant.
The only good thing is that they helped a homeless person by giving him some food. But it is still a very long...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience at House of Ribs n Grill! From start to finish, the service was outstanding—Siar took excellent care of us and made the evening truly special. The entire staff was warm, attentive, and welcoming.
Of course, we had the ribs—tender, flavorful, and absolutely worth the visit. The baked potato came with a unique butter, rich with herbs and hints of curry turmeric—it was so comforting, almost like a warm hug on a plate. We also enjoyed a fresh salad, a flight of Belgian beers, and a perfectly mixed martini.
The atmosphere was just as delightful as the food. Sitting outside and taking in the charm of Belgium made the whole experience unforgettable.
Thank you, Siar and team, for making our visit exceptional. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and...
