After reading the positive reviews my mom and I decided to give it a go since we really wanted to eat mussels.

The restaurant was completely empty inside, but we didn’t make a reservation so stepped in to ask. Immediately one of the waiters came up to us, and since we didn’t make a reservation, the only spot that was left for us was one outside near the busy footpath. After rejecting the spot and letting him know we would look elsewhere suddenly there was a spot available inside the (still empty) restaurant. Ordering was fine but when the mussels and fries arrived no sauce was given nor bread or anything. We had to ask for mayonaise ourselves and had to share a mini cup of mayonaise (very disappointing for a Belgian restaurant). The mussels were served without any sauce , the sauce was the bouillon in the pan according to the waiter. In the meantime while eating, not a single waiter checked in and asked if everything was fine. They were too busy hanging around the bar. They were able to laugh with each other, but not a single smile at any customer was given. The atmosphere was very touristic, cold and anything but welcoming in my opinion. Even if you serve mussels without sauce, if a customer asks for sauce you offer them something.

Since I’m from Amsterdam and never visited Brussel before, I was really excited to see the city and meet the ‘neighbors’. Unfortunately this wasn’t a good experience. In Amsterdam we treat tourists way different. Would not recommend and would definitely not...

We recently had the pleasure of dining at The Brothers Brasserie, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for what would be an incredible meal. Let's talk about the highlight of the visit: the burgers. Simply put, The Brothers serves the most incredible burgers I've ever had. Each burger is crafted with care, using only the freshest ingredients, and the result is a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds. The patties are juicy and cooked to perfection, while the buns are soft and toasted just right. But the excellence doesn't stop at the food. The service at The Brothers is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a wonderful experience. The Brothers also offers a great selection of sides and beverages to complement their stellar burgers. Overall, The Brothers Brasserie is a must-visit. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. I can't wait to return and try more of their incredible offerings. Highly...

Me and my family from Indonesia try to have something special foos near the Grand Palace, and from the Google I got The Brothers Brasserie. It's true the the food from here is very very good!!! We ordered Mussels with creamy garlic sauce, it was so tasty worth every penny we spend and every minute we wait for!! My children ordered steak and the kids menu fish and chips which are also nice. While my wife ordered the Brothers Salad. But my favorite is the Mussels!!! I finished all the soup from the Mussels.. Oh yes, tried the Belgian beer as well and they recommended me Karmelier which was very nice beer. Their service also very good although at the beginning seems not nice.. but I was wrong.. 😀 Hope someday we can visit Belgium again and having some great Mussels again at The Brothers Brasserie!! Great job guys!! Recommended place to eat...

We walked by this place on our first day in Brussels and I was instantly drawn to it by the site of truffle ravioli on the menu. We kept it in mind and ended up eating there on our last night. We thought it would be fine, being a not bad looking place very close to the Grand Place. Our expectations were very much exceeded. The food is absolutely incredible. The sauces are amazing and so decedent. I started with the truffle ravioli and that sauce was to die for. I had the mussels and frites for my main, which they do not skimp on, and they were amazing. My mom had the shrimp scampi first (another incredible sauce) and pork as a main and they were both so so good. Do not let this place deceive you. It might be easy to miss in such a busy area, but you’d be a fool not to enjoy a great meal here.

What a great find! The Brothers Brasserie is located in a narrow little street, but offers a fantastic experience. The server worked to create a space for me to sit outside and enjoy since they were very busy. That was very appreciated, and it was above what I expected. I enjoyed the lunch special of mussels and fries with a small beer. My server warned me that it was a lunch size portion, but it turned out to be just the right size. The mussels were sooo good, and the broth was excellent for dipping my bread. They also provided a little bowl of baked cheese balls that featured some nice spice! The beer I wanted wasn't included in the special, so I also ordered an additional Tripel Karmeliet. Service was super fast, and attentive. My server's name sounded like "Ivy"... sit with him!
