La Belgique Gourmande — Local services in Brussels

Avoid this shop at all cost, unless racism is your cup of tea. My aunt and I went in the shop to browse around and we noticed a tasting box there. We thought it’s self serve as the sales associate (male with beard) couldn’t bother less. As we approached the box to grab a chocolate to try, he literally rushes over to us and smack it close, tells us we can’t taste without his permission and takes the box away…..then at the same time a white couple came in and he nicely approached them and gave them multiple chocolate to try. If you want to be racist and serve only white customers then you might as well not open a shop in the most touristic part of Brussels where you have customers from all around the world. This was the worst experience I have had in Brussels. I have noticed same sort of reviews from other customers that were treated so bad because of their race. Do yourself a favour and go to Elisabeth chocolatier next door for much better service...

Definitely touristy but that doesn't make it a bad place per se. The little rounded triangle sweets intrigued us, so we got them, like a better jelly baby sweet. We also got some chocolates for friends but as we haven't given them out yet, cannot attest to how...
