30 minutes of wait for an expensive waffle, not worth the wait.
We were getting just one waffle to keep going on our busy day, went to a waffle factory before in another location and they were good and fast. We were the third people there and it started to fill up after we arrived. But no one was making the waffles and more and more people started to wait. There were two people behind the counter just looking at us instead of making waffles and we were wondering « what is going on? ». We didn’t ask because we didn’t dare to as they looked not friendly at all, and the manager popped up after 30min of awkward waiting and staring at each other asking « why aren’t you making anything? Can’t you see all the people waiting?! » and they were both like « but they didn’t order anything ». The manager pressed the refresh button on the screen and all the 20 something orders started beeping one after each other. The manager said « you have to press the refresh button once in a while when it’s a busy day, and just look around!! ».
I ask myself why did they not bother to wonder why the place was packed and why all these people were waiting and staring. Some people asked « is my order ready » and they would say « we didn’t get any order » in a very rude and passive aggressive way which drove many people confused because after any follow up question they would say « we didn’t get any order so please wait ». GIRL IF YOU DIDNT GET ORDERS FROM OVER 20 GROUPS OF PEOPLE DONT YOU THINK...
Read moreMy honest review of the Waffle Factory
Where do I start, I have been in belgium with my partner for just under a week now and have tried many different waffles from a variety of places, each tasting amazing and giving a great service.
Waffle Factory from start to finish has been a shambles, writing this review I have been waiting for my meal which consisted of crocwaf, Ice drink mango and fuze tea peach, it has now been 36 minutes since i ordered this meal which came to €16.
The staff were rude and continued to ignore customers attempting to order, they were actually told to instead use the machine to order.
It was clear they were creating 1 order at a time and still somehow getting every customers order insanely wrong, missing drinks, missing waffles you name it they were able to miss it out from the order.
It was obvious the only member of staff who continued to try and make everyones orders alone and was able to prep and create the orders correctly as his colleagues were not attempting to even help him was a young man named Noah who can hold his head high and realise he is honestly way better than the people he was working with.
He was genuinely grafting and actually trying so for that good on him.
Other then that I wouldn't recommend coming to this waffle factory...
Read moreThis unsuspecting looking place in the historical center of Brussels is a real delight once you find it. We stumbled across it by accident and decided to give it a go. The range of waffles that you can choose from is great and there is something for every taste, even if you’re looking for more than just a fast dessert. We went there twice and ordered most of what was on the menu, just to try it out, and we were fully satisfied with what we got, both in presentation and in taste. Some of the variations taste so good that you can reach a point when you feel too full, but still want more. If we were to complain, it wouldn’t be about the food, but rather the restaurant itself. While we can’t complain that it doesn’t look all that up-to-date - since it’s part of the charm - there may be a slight problem with the smoke inside, as the air can become a bit heavy at times and while it doesn’t detract from the taste and feel of the food, it does make waiting for you order a bit uncomfortable. The upper seating area is much better, since having even one window open solves the problem entirely. We’ll be sure to visit again next time we’re...
