This is trippiest, vintage yet coziest bar to go to if you want to have a unique experience with a date. The decor almost gives like an Alice In Wonderland type of vibe which is what visually makes this place unique. People in the reviews complain about the owner being unpleasant but with my experience, from what I saw, he’s just looks and gives a cold vibe but when we left he was really sweet. I think because he works alone at the entrance bar and this bar being a popular touristic attraction just gets to him at a certain time during rush hour where he just is more focused, I think. Brilliant, unique bar that looks like it exists within the mind of a deranged individual. Rooms, stairs, bars and corridors wind off each other like an MC Escher illustration. Old books, records, photos, artworks, flags, musical instruments and random items nailed to the walls and ceilings provide the decor. All that, plus use of candles for illumination make the place feel like a fire trap. Can it really have a safety certificate? A jukebox full of old chansons from Brel, Piaf, Aznavour and others complete the mix.
