My experience in this place was one of the worst I ever had in one café or restaurant. The staff was even worst than the food. First at all the staff said they were ran out of Mussels, while they kept on serving mussels all around even one or two hours after our arrival. We stayed in the place for three or four hours and the waitress came to our table to say that we had to leave in 15 minutes because they had a reservation in our table, instead of looking for a solution. What if we wanted to dinner? I will never ever come back again to such place. I recommend to the owner to renovate their staff or educate them. Starting for the clothes and following with a minimum of respect towards their clients....

Although the "stoofvlees" was delicious, and the location terrific, the experience was less enjoyable. We were a party of four who felt like having Belgian "friet" with "stoofvleessaus" as a late afternoon snack. Because of not having a big appetite, we wanted to share a main, and order 4 side dishes of "friet" - this was not allowed according to restaurant policy. We were only allowed to order a main, and in order to share, 3 extra plates @ €3-/plate. We were also not allowed to order an extra side of "friet" as "friet" was included in the main. The terrace was next to empty, so it wasn't as if we were expecting the kitchen and waiter to jump through hoops. All in all, this was a very...

Randomly came here for dinner before leaving Ghent. Easily the best meal that I had in Belgium. The amuse bouche was a stellar carrot soup—I could have had a meal of that soup—that was perfectly seasoned. The Flemish beer stew was perfect for a sub-freezing night. Perfect way to warm up. I also highly recommend the house red wine.

Maybe I just had a particular evening but the light background music really further set the tone. It went perfect with the decor and food. Great addition.

I recommend going out of your way to eat here. Of course the proximity to the castle means you probably don’t have to make a special trip. Definitely make a...

This restaurant is amazing. The service is extraordinary with a special thanks to Jasmine. Our kid was ultra comfortable in their high chairs, they had almost all plates prepared for kids and the menu had a great variety from pasta, to chicken to shellfish. We were impress by how fast they served our table and how kind and nice was the server with us. A great variety of beers and drinks and the food was one of the best in Belgium. We will return and we recommend this place 100%. The price was also very convenient. One thing to improve: Change Pepsi for Coca-Cola please!!!

Disappointing! The reviews looked good, so we thought we'd give it a go, but unfortunately despite the fabulous location, both the food and the service were lacking. Service took well over an hour to get our food to us and upon arrival my Shrimp pasta looked like a bowl of Heinz Tomato soup with spaghetti, a few prawns and a bit of parsley thrown in. Not worth the wait; not worth the money. My partners Caesar Salad was OK, but how can you get a salad wrong. No apologies offered when we highlighted the length of time the order took, or the quality of the food.

We had dinner at Brasserie Paradijs after exploring the town Gent. We decided to eat here because of the great view on Gravensteen castle and it did not disappoint. My friend had a steak which tasted great and I had the shrimp croquettes which were home made. Both dishes were served with large bowl of french fries and a tasty salad. The staff was really nice and checked with us many times if they could provide more drinks or food for us. Due to it’s fantastic location and the good food I can really recommend eating here when you visit Gent.
