Have been visiting this restaurant for at least 25 years with intervals of once a year due to the long distance from my hometown. Food is good , however expect adjusted to Western taste and most certainly a lot less spicy. Prices are also pretty steep when compared to other Thai resto's. Setting , atmosphere : inside can be noisy , outside is nice. Service : depends . Last time we booked a table regardless in or outside , arrived , and were escorted by the waiter to a table outside . Two minutes later we were asked to take another table. And then when ordering our food , the owner or main waitress threw to our heads in a rather unfriendly way ' when booking a table outside you have to specify this the moment you book ' . So the waiter shows us without our demand a table outside and we get a remark . Pretty unfair . Seems that the Thai way has been lost a bit here. Located right in the centre of Gent, this place was full on a Wednesday night. So much so, that we couldn't get any seating place outside.
We ordered Mai tai and beer to start with it along with scampi wrapped in bacon. That was definitely a new combination for me. The sauce definitely elevated this dish.
For main course, we got a Fried Dorade with a chilli and garlic sauce and a chicken stew with green curry! The highlight of the dinner was Fried dorade for me. It was crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The sauce was again delicious! Ordered our dishes spicy🌶️🌶️ and we did get it spicy enough🥵🥵
Just a super busy kitchen, so it took quite some time for our main course to come. We were waiting for almost 30-45 minutes for our meal.
But would definitely love to visit this place again🤩🤩

Service was o.k. , the waiter was very helpful and friendly but, the waitress can be...
