We arrived at just after 2 pm and it was not too busy and sat at an outside table on the square. We had placed our order for drinks and light food by 2.15. Our drinks were brought to us within 5 minutes but after 30 minutes we caught another waiter to chase our food as our waiter had not been back. Still no food appeared and then I saw our original waiter. He had forgotten what we had ordered but went to the kitchen and brought out a large plateful of complimentary cheese, ham and olives for us to nibble then within 2 minutes he was back with our original order of nachos smothered with melted cheese for me and apple with ice cream for my wife. He disappeared quickly and we assumed he was getting our cutlery but no. After another 15 minutes we caught the other waiter and asked for cutlery and he said we should have used our fingers! The ice cream had melted over the apple pie by now! He did bring some cutlery and the food was very nice but this was now an hour after we placed our order. It wasn’t properly done, leaving it dry and flavorless, as though it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. Any semblance of seasoning was so minimal that it might as well have been forgotten entirely.
The dessert was no better. The ice cream arrived riddled with unpleasant ice crystals, a telltale sign it had melted and been refrozen—a careless mistake that no respectable kitchen should allow.
Adding insult to injury, the wine we ordered to accompany the main dish didn’t even arrive on time, leaving the meal feeling incomplete and mismatched. To make matters worse, the state of the toilets was downright appalling—unsanitary and unacceptable, especially for what should have been a celebratory evening.

What stood out the most, though, was the service. Everyone was friendly and attentive without being too formal or hovering.
