Stepping into the Starbucks inside Sint-Pieters Gent train station feels like entering another era.
The grand high ceilings, ornate wall decorations, and soft play of light through stained glass windows create an atmosphere of quiet beauty and history. The wooden floors add warmth, making the space feel authentic and timeless, truly one of the most beautiful Starbucks I’ve ever visited.
There are about twenty tables, with both chairs and comfortable sofas inviting you to linger. The music is soft and acoustic, blending gently into the background, never intrusive, simply part of the charm.
Yet, amidst all this beauty, there is a touch of sadness. The staff, though efficient, seemed distant and weary, offering few smiles even when met with kindness. Perhaps the constant flow of travelers and tourists has dulled their warmth. It’s a small shadow in an otherwise luminous place.

Read moreThis Starbucks is pretty much like others in terms of products and service, but what truly sets it apart is its location in Ghent’s historic train station. The decor preserves the charm of the old station, creating a cozy and unique atmosphere that’s a bit different from most Starbucks locations.

I genuinely have to wonder what kind of people they employ, that think it's ok to bit cover their coffee when being delivered by bike across the city. It wouldn't be so bad if it happened once, but it happens constantly, and consistently and they never ever learn.
Honestly wouldn't ever order from them if there was coffee worth a damn to order...
