Tush Gent — Restaurant in Ghent

I do really enjoy the play on words, but don't be confused, their food is serious. Luckily got there for happy hour, so two of their juice IPA's for the price of one. I got the regular cheeseburger and it was so good I needed the Nashville chicken sandwich to go. The flavors are great, but the crust on the burger takes it over the top. Really worth checking out. With the chicken, it was a great combination of crisp, spice, and the pickles completed it. They really care about what they put on the table, and I love it.

I had to go back on my final night in town and try their Korean fried chicken and sweet potato fries. The chicken thighs are so crispy and perfectly seasoned, doused in a really good sweet and bold sauce. The coleslaw adds a nice balance and it makes a deliciously sloppy mess. The fries are crispy but tender on the inside and the tarragon sauce is extremely flavorful. I wish I was closer to this place, can't...

I really recommend a reservation on the weekend. We visited on a Friday night at 6 and the place was full. Apart that there were also a lot of delivery guys stopping by. I liked the overal vibe of the space, the pink neon signs and very comfy chairs😊❤️

All staff was very friendly. It took about 5 min to the cocktails to arrive and probably 15 min for the food. I had a pink paloma but cocktail 14€. I must say it was the one of the best drinks that I had in the past year. My husband had a Bourbon sweet tea, 11€ also very good! Now for the food, oh how I missed good fried chicken burger😭now I’ve finally found a place in Gent that does it. It was not salty, not heavy, just perfect. Chicken bao also very good! Both 17.5€. Fries just ok/normal.

If I could have one suggestion I would add more fresh items on the menu like a little salad/coleslaw or kimchi. But I’ll definitely be back for kore fried...

Have been here a couple of times now. The food is good, and spicy things are properly spicy! The staff is joyful, welcoming and friendly. The menu is nice, prices are acceptable (on the high side imho, but not over the top). Portion sizes are good too and food is served quite fast/swiftly. We ordered a load of cocktails the first time we went, but they were mainly sugary and thin in taste otherwise, would recommend to pass on those and enjoy a beer or a wine with the food. The interior is refreshing and well done too. Will surely return in the future. For those in Ghent that know: this could well become a replacement for Uncle Babes which was a go-to place to enjoy a good burger with some friends, quality and service have been lacking there in the past year for some reason: if you were a fan, try t*sh out, different atmosphere, but equally...
