BEST. MEAL. IN LAPAZ HANDS DOWN. This strikes me as a more hipster place than touristy (definitely still touristy) but the food is hands down one of the best I had in town. We came here twice in 2 days that we are in la paz. Ordered sea and land - the 300g meat is tender and very juicy. The fries, even though simple, were clearly very freshly made with it slightly crispy outside and fluffy inside. The pasta in tomato sauce was amazingly rich. Also ordered the chicken heart - LOVED IT. Ceviche was quite interesting, almost like a cold broth but I prefer the Peruvian version still. Quality of food here is really top notch. Very well seasoned and portion sizes are huge. Prices are reasonable I feel especially when the quality of food is so good. Service is impeccable too. We liked the house music and asked for the playlist which the front of house staff kindly shared haha. Please make a stop here if you are in la paz!!

This is probably my favourite place in La Paz. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Location is great, near the touristy streets. Also no cars in the street which is quite rare in La Paz. Foodwise this place is very good. They have soups, hamburgers (vegetarian one as well), burritos and ceviche. The mango salado is also delicious! Prices are very acceptable for the quality of the dishes: soups for 25, burgers for about 50. The drinks here are also quite good. There's a happy hour for the most common cocktails like gin tonics and mojitos. The martini espresso is quite good. But the juices and coffees are delicious and affordable! Best place in La Paz! Thank you, Gloria, Alejandro, Jason and Gustavo! See you next year!

The inside was nice, however, the food wasn't to my liking. I ordered a Caeser salad, it had some pretty good taste to it. However, everything in it was soft. If I had dentures, I can remove them and still be able to chew it down. The croutons were soft and the lettuce was thinly sliced to wear it loses its crisp texture. Salads need crisp textures too, it offsets the soft textures in them too. The presentation on it was good though, it looks appealing. On the receipt, they tip themselves for their service. That is kind of weird for a business to do, especially if the customer wasn't satisfied. Anyways, perhaps I'll give it another try in the future.

-EDIT after owner reply- Would you also have replied like this if I rated this 2 stars? Not sure… Let’s see if we’ll return. By the time we ordered a lot of people already left and the busiest time was over. I think you need to work on your attitude. I agree that customers refusing to pay are arrogant, but if you “witnessed it yourself” at least return the service fee or offer free drinks if service is not good….

-Original comment- The atmosphere and location are nice. The place looks nice and cozy. The food was okay, not a lot of flavor in the burritos (vegetarian and pollo crujiente) without sauce or pico de gallo (which tastes nice but was served at a tiny amount with the burritos).

The real problem is the service. We got seated quite quickly despite it being busy (which was good). We didn’t have to wait that long for our order to get taken, but while taking our order we were asked to move to another table because a group of four (likely locals) that arrived after us needed to sit together. The order then never went through. Prepare to wait for 1 hour (at least as a tourist), while others around you (locals) get their food in 10 min… One drink was never delivered but still appeared on the bill. Luckily it was quickly removed when we pointed it out. Despite all that still having the audacity to charge for service on the bill! Let the customer decide whether service was good or not…

If you read previous critical reviews it’s also clear that the owner is rude and cannot take any criticism. Just replying bullshit, rude comments without apologizing. For locals it seems nice, but not for tourists unfortunately… The owner should put less time and effort in replying with rude comments and more time in improving...
