The food is good. Pizza is very thin and not so rich with ingredients, so it's a little bit pricey. One downside is that you don't get utensils, so you eat your pizza with your bare hands, which I personally hate. There is no glass of water either. Overall, delicious pizza, but lack of service quality makes it pricey in comparison with other pizza places where you are greeted, coat taken... with richer ingredients and for the same price. And you can't pay at Proper Pizza with a credit card, cash only (as of 2023-06-02).
But, but... As far as I know, it is the only pizza in Sarajevo with sussam on crust, and I recommend to try it, at least once. It is delicious.
Tried: macho 30cm (12BAM), Proper 30cm (12BAM)
Edit: the owner responded (much appreciated!) that you can get utensils and/or water upon request, which is very nice. I wish I knew that or that it was written somewhere (especially for utensils). I'll increase my rating for...
Read moreCriminally horrible service, avoid at all costs. Today I was having lunch with my friends, and the waitress seemed like it was her first day on the job. She couldn't keep track of what we ordered, it took her ages to bring us our drinks, and instead of bringing us our fiscal receipts when we ordered, she kept them next to the register and "accidentally" spilled coffee on them. Considering she probably was hired for the first time, we cut her some slack and just ignored it. But when it came time to pay, my brother payed 49 KM for the pizzas (which was right) and his girlfriend payed 32 KM for four drinks and one coffee, which actually adds up to 17 KM! I doubt that the owner is to blame, this definitely looks like a deception from the waitress, although one cannot know for sure. And this was toward local Sarajevo residents, I can only imagine what they would do to tourists. Anyway, avoid this place or you will get...
Read moreI was surprised at how much I enjoyed the pizza here. As a native New Yorker I am always discerning when it comes to pizza outside the city. This is a small and clean place with maybe 5 tables inside. The staff could not have been nicer (one gentleman spoke english well). I ordered 2 - 30" for take-away: margarita and 4 cheese and requested additional gorgonzola on the the 4 cheese. To my surprise and delight the crust is uber thin and crisped-up nicely upon reheating in a pan on the stove. The crust is dusted with sesame seeds that added a nice texture and additional flavour to the pizza. The margarita was light and the 4 cheese - well its cheese - was delicious. I recommend enjoying a...
