Drvenija Most — Attraction in City of Sarajevo

Many wooden bridges (drvenije) were built in Sarajevo during the period of Ottoman rule. One such bridge was on Bentbaša, where the timber from the surrounding forests was harvested, collected and then put into the Miljacka to drift downstream to Sarajevo.

A second one spanned the river between Šeherćehajin and Emperor's Bridges, there was a third one called Hadži Bešlijina Drvenija and collective memory makes note of a few other such bridges, none of which stood the test of time.

The bridge that now goes by the name, Drvenija, is found between Ćumurija Bridge and Čobanija Bridge and was built in 1898, during the time of Austro-Hungarian rule.

During bad weather, the Miljacka River would often wash this wooden bridge away, but it was always rebuilt.

The last reconstruction was carried out in 1988, when the then-famous Sarajevo construction company, Hidrogradnja, donated a reinforced concrete bridge to the city. The bridge had a symbolic wooden railing.

Za osmanske vladavine u Sarajevu je izgrađeno više drvenih mostova - drvenija. Jedan se nalazio na Bentbaši, gdje su vađena debla koja bi bila posječena u šumama poviše grada, a potom spuštena u Miljacku kako bi ih voda donijela do samog Sarajeva.

Drugi se nalazio između Šeherćehajine i Careve ćuprije, treći se zvao Hadži Bešlijina drvenija, a upamćeno je postojane još nekoliko drvenija, od kojih nijedna nije odoljela zubu vremena.

Most kojeg danas znamo po imenu Drvenija, a koji se nalazi između mostova Ćumurija i Čobanija, sagrađen je tokom austrougarske vladavine, 1898. godine.

Miljacka bi za velikog nevremena znala odnijeti i ovaj drveni most, ali bi on svakog puta bio obnovljen.

Posljednja rekonstrukcija izvršena je 1988. godine, kada je tada čuvena sarajevska građevinska firma Hidrogradnja gradu poklonila armirano-betonski most sa simboličnom drvenom ogradom.

الجير القديم كان مبناي من الخشب منذ السنوات الماضية ولكن تم إعادة بناءه عدة مرات وبنفس المواد الخشبية وأخيرا تم تجديده أو إعادة بناءه بالمواد الاسمنتية ليكون متيناً. Beatiful and nice place in Sarajevo.
