Where would a handsome flamboyant guy from NYC go in Sao Paulo? You'd say Seen, I thought so too. Been there several times looking fabulous each time, appropriate for the beautiful settings. Because I am single I was sitting at the bar enjoying drinks and checking out the crowd which is predominantly straight, love birds, groups, and you know who. It is called SEEN right? I was mostly coming cause I love luxurious setting. When you exit an elevator, you can't just walk through over to the bar. Host Eduardo was nice to me every time. There is a sketchy looking security man also. they escort you to your seat which you are pretty much anchored to the whole time. Movement around the bar is restricted. Not really allowed to get up to check out the views even. So after having been there several times, and spent hundreds of dollar, I was told I somehow misbehaved, and can't enter again. As if they were behavior police control. All I did was talking to someone, from across the bar who was waiting for his escort, bought me wine. just because he said he as from New York too. Although I didn't think so. In conclusion, this is not a relaxing environment for someone like me where I felt eyes on me of the unattractive customers and controlling staff. Oh well, can't be too rich or...
Read moreWe wanted to show my father a good experience of São Paulo and heard about how famous this place was. My father was wearing open toed shoes and they refused him entry, then made him walk to his hotel even though he was wearing very fancy open toed shoes (Gucci might I add). When he returned they let multiple people in the door with equally as open shoes AND shorts (sweat pant shorts) with the argument that they were a more “befitting style to the restaurant”. When we asked the waiters about why others were allowed entry and we were not, they said that there was “special circumstances” for certain guests. Still, my father walked from this place to his hotel and came back. My father was willing to spend over 1,000 USD at this restaurant if they treated us well, but we felt belittled and looked down upon. As a world traveller who has been to over 50+ countries, I have never felt so disrespected in my life. I was embarrassed and angry. I will never go to this restaurant again, and would recommend that this restaurant avoid this type of...
