Walked in with a group of six at around 6 PM on a Wednesday. Place was empty. We were seated immediately. Tables were clean.

We ordered the Chicken michwui, Lebanese chicken plate. Babaghanoush. Humus and fatoush. Oh where do i start.

I will start off by saying there menus are absolutely disgusting and genuinely made me lose my appetite, making me want to leave the table, however, the other party members insisted we stay.

The best plate by far was the chicken mchwui, the chicken was seasoned properly and tender. Nothing wrong with that plate., we opted to substitute the couscous with french fries, as the server, let us try some, and we did not like it, the Lebanese grilled chicken plate was very underwhelming, the chicken itself was tender and juicy and cooked properly however, it was lacking heavily in the flavour department. Would not get it again.

The fatoush was not good at all , I would not even call it a fattoush, lacking seasoning, basically veggies with olive oil and lemon, it is not Lebanese fattoush.

The hummus was absolutely horrid, tasted like olives more than chickpeas, I would absolutely not order that or recommend it.

The babaghanoush was actually pretty good. I would order it again.

Also, I am at a restaurant, if a customer asks for ketchup , and the waiter advises me that there are ketchup packets on the table, thats is pretty low, this is not a fast food establishment. It is a restaurant. Give the customer a bottle of ketchup. Don’t tell me to start opening individual ketchup packets. Like this is Burger King.

⭐️⭐️⭐️i will shout out Ivan and Ronald our servers, they were excellent throughout the whole night, very attentive, and had a pleasant vibe to them. when I say attentive, for example, I was eating my bone in Lebanese chicken plate, when I started placing the bones on the plate to the side, when Robin realized he had brought me an empty plate. All by himself advised me here is where I can put the bones. That to me is a attentive and caring waiter.

Would i come back here, absolutely not. The service was great and though the food was not impressive, those guys really saved...

"I've been a regular at Restaurante Basha for quite some time now, and I can confidently say it's my favorite Lebanese restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. The highlight for me has always been their shawarma – particularly the lamb beef shawarma, which is impeccably seasoned and incredibly flavorful. Their hummus and muhammara dips are also exceptional, each offering a rich and authentic taste that complements the main dishes perfectly.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, reflecting the Lebanese hospitality beautifully. The staff are always attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

In my opinion, Restaurante Basha stands out as the best Lebanese dining spot in Rio de Janeiro, offering not only delicious food but also a delightful cultural experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Lebanese...

Great service BUT we are Arab/ live in London and travel to the Middle East all the time for Lebanese cuisine and i will say we could instantly tell the food is not fresh so beware everyone (some of the reviews complain about food poisoning/ being sick after). From our experience it was very obvious the kibbeh was definitely reheated and old and the meat in the shawarma tasted off. You could tell the humous was shop bought, the babaganoush had strangely no flavour?! Also a preference but the tabule had too many onions. This is so obvious too because our food came out extremely fast and it’s not possible to prepare food this fast if it was really fresh. They really should invest more in making all the dishes fresh and they will see how their...

A taste of Lebanon in Rio de Janiero.. The menu is almost exhausting to endure..so best to get a combination banquet.. with the expectation that you will be lucky to finish half of these delicious wholesome dishes prepared to the highest standards of authenticity.. This establishment far surpassed my high expectations with the flavours and aromas only on offer at a bazaar. The service was prompt and efficient though not overly friendly.. something that is easily overlooked when you consider the meal overall. The price is excellent value for money and the setting is quaint as you would expect of a restaurant in this area. A short stroll from the main boulevard which is definitely worth the walk.. I could not recommend this restaurant any more highly
