Panchetata Restaurant — Restaurant in Sofia City

The staff was very friendly. We called spontaneously and got a spot downstairs. The baby chair was placed by the time of our arrival. The staff also warmed up a glass of puree we brought for the baby. The menu made it hard to choose because everything sounded very interesting. Unfortunately, after taking the order and serving the starters as well a the wine we were apparently forgotten. The baby food was warmed but not brought, the water was also forgotten to be served. The napkin holder only had two napkins left for 5 people. When the main dishes came the empty dishes from the starters were using all the space and the waiter was waiting for us to clean up. Finally, when the deserts were served to be shared, they were placed in the middle of the table but no plates were offered. After a reminder on the baby food, the water and the napkins the issues were solved quickly. The presentation of the food was a 9/10. The starters and the deserts were really tasty. The main dishes were a bit disappointing though. However, the service was the biggest disappointment. The waiter might have had a bad day but he was just not caring enough to remember, or to to stop by again. We, e.g., had to go to the waiter to order...

There are so many great things that I can say about this restaurant. I've been there a few times as this place is in our neighborhood, and we have really enjoyed anything on the menu we have tried and so have our friends. So this weekend, we decided to have a reception lunch for about 30 people there and the head chef and staff couldn't have been nicer. All of our guests had an amazing time and commented on how delicious and tasty the food was. The table appetizers and salads were divine to start off with. Our guests had a variety of main meals and every person in our party we talked to mentioned what a great meal they were having and how impressed they were with the food. The best unexpected surprise was that the head chef made us the most incredible cake with buttercream frosting and strawberries. Pretty much, Panchetata is a gem of a restaurant that I highly recommend it...

The place is not bad but there is a lot more to be improved with the food. It's tasty but they can do it better in order to became excellent.

Atmosphere is so-so - I felt like I'm in a canteen. The space between the tables is too small and you have a feeling you are sitting together with the people on the next table. The good thing is that smoking is not allowed inside!

The service is not on a very good level. The waiter was grumpy, not really happy by my opinion, maybe because he was working on Christmas days, or maybe he is not satisfied from some other conditions at his workplace. Didn't show competence of knowledge to recommend a dish or present something we should definitely try - not any excitement.

In conclusion - maybe I'll give it a try again but I'm not impressed. Anyway you can give it a try, it's okay if you want have something one way better in...
