Read moreWent here on a Weds night in March for a business dinner (hence no photos of the food, only the diners & the boss!).
We shared a large plate of mezzes as a starter. That was filling in its own right. So, we asked the owner/chef (Avi) if you could share a Wagyu steak. He was happy to accommodate us & he proposed we share 375g steak.
Now I know Wagyu is famous for the marbling with fat from grain in the food & the famous massaging of the cows, but there was simply too much fat for me. I didn't complain as it was my ignorant choice and actually I was full.
Avi noticed I had left the fat and said I should have chosen one of his Aussie steaks as I didn't appreciate the fat. THEN he proposed we wait whilst he cooked us some Aussie steak, as a complimentary gift from him!
We both tried to decline his generosity, but he went ahead anyway. So when the next steak came, it was delicious and to my taste. But it simply too much food. So we asked to take it away and the wonderful waitress approved of us not wasting their great food.
Not is the food great but the owner & his staff are charming and caring people. In their external patio, they found 2 cats sneaked in for refuge. So, they actually care for them & feed them. See, their great hospitality is not only for paying customers! ;)
Phnom Penh still doesn't have the tourists & I am sure many people who could afford to come to this high end restaurant, don't know it is here. After all it opened 14 months ago in Covid times.
Its a pity as we should enjoy & support the restaurants we like.
Thanks for a great...

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it fell far short. While I don’t mind paying for quality, the prices here simply don’t reflect the venue or the service. The cheapest steak was $60, which is steep for Cambodia—but that wasn’t the issue.
The real problem was the lack of availability. My girlfriend ordered four different dishes, and each time, the waiter came back to say they weren’t available. These were the only things she liked, so she ended up going hungry. To make things worse, I ordered two drinks that never arrived.
When my food finally did come, the service was disorganized. I ordered lamb chops with chips, but the lamb arrived 10 minutes before the chips, meaning my meat was cold by the time I could eat.
The only saving grace was the waiting staff, who were friendly and clearly doing their best. This is entirely a management issue, and for the prices they charge, there’s no excuse for such poor service and lack of basic coordination.
Avoid this place—there are far better restaurants in the area that offer a much better experience for the same or...
