This is one of the greatest disappointments in Phnom Penh. I've finally come to this place and I was reminded that not everything that is expensive is also good quality. In a country where wealthy people sometimes aren't educated well enough to appreciate real quality. Where to start? We were greeted by a well trained staff but also by a dreadful audio system. The live music band seemed to be good but we couldn't say as the music was so distorted, the kind of quality you can find at a cheap karaoke. The menu came on a tablet (so sad) and among expensive spirits and unknown wines there were only 4 cocktails. The staff said they could make all the others, but in reality they couldn't. And even so at an unknown price. We got our drinks and we're left not impressed at all. During live music breaks a DJ was also pumping house music along a Lionel Richie's song and the audio system had it's most appalling moment. I still don't understand if this is a club with not enough dance floor or a loud bar with mediocre drinks and incomplete menus. On a positive note Khmer artists and musicians are starting to appear on the stages of their own country, as usually they seem to be ostracized in favor of foreigners. But that...

Read moreMy friend and I chose to sit at the counter, and it quickly became apparent that the attentive staff keeps a close eye on every customer. In under 3 seconds, one of them noticed my luggage and even helped me with it. I decided to order a bottle of wine at the counter, and they promptly brought it over, considering our pace. The lady in charge was exceptionally charming and poised, leaving a lasting impression. There were moments when her voice was a bit overshadowed by the lively ambiance, but she made a concerted effort to engage with me multiple times. I experienced top-tier hospitality in Phnom Penh. The only aspect that fell short of expectations was the food. While I hesitate to share a photo, the presentation of the squid rings was inventive and had a local flair. Given the upscale atmosphere of this bar, I hope they work on enhancing the culinary experience. I look forward to...
