FiveFive Rooftop Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Khan Daun Penh

Take my wife out for a romantic dinner was the plan but it didn’t go so well. It was busy but really not that many people. The staff ran around like they were lost and our food order actually took an hour for a spinach ravioli dish but the chicken cordon blue came in a reasonable time. They had free flow specials you had to wait a really long time for so obviously trying to profit more from that which I would have gladly just ordered one by one if I got it faster. Anyways we had a somewhat pleasant time but some idiot that did the restaurant layout has the smoking area where the wind flows from all year around so I advise moving that so everyone won’t suffer from smoke because it flows over the whole room. The smoke was so unbearable we had to move inside because we asked why the smoking area is where the wind flows over the restaurant but no one could give a good reply. My wife was pregnant so we couldn’t stay there much longer and moved inside. The service was bad outside because it was busy but the inside wasn’t busy and the service was worse. Lots of room for improvement for sure. When we did finally get the ravioli dish it was great so that is why I did give it higher than a 1. I was going to give a 1 because the of the service but the food saved it somewhat because the chicken cordon blue...

Been to this place twice, and all were very nice. This is a place where you can spend your afternoon till night time, starting 17:00 pm. This hotel is not yet grand-launched, but still in the soft-launching mode.

This 5/5 (Five Five Rooftop Restaurant) is located in the top floor of Hyatt Regency Hotel, Phnom Penh. There are both indoor and outdoor restaurant. As you might think, outdoor ought to be more enjoyable rather than indoor. That's true, especially as we believe that we you can enjoy the beautiful afternoon and evening scenes of Phnom Penh city with no wall between you and the free sky.

The waitress are very kind and communicative, while trying their best to ensure that every visitor enjoy spending his/her time in this bar. They are warm hearted people, and well groomed.

The price of food and drink were normal, no overly priced. Affordable while at the same time maintaining the high standard of the Hyatt Hotel chain.

From the top of this hotel, you can see the lush green trees surrounding the Royal Palace; against the backdrop of the might Mekong River. Good place for spending your relax time with your beloved one, or your business partner. Enjoyable.

What is positive: the location (new + stylish) and food. Negative: the service, waiters and bill. We came to have a birthday dinner 3 days ago. There was quick service but we could not finish our starter because one of the two main dishes was served already. The second main dish came long after my friend finished already his main dish. We got a small desert as compensation which was friendly but damage was already done. We have been to many fancy restaurants all across the world but this restaurant service is far far below the high standard they claim to have. At the end we got a bill completely not in sync with the menu as they charged VAT and a service fee (yes you read it right, after all of the above) on top of the menu prices. Terrible experience don't go here. There are many other better skybars / restaurants...
